“A wonderful sanctuary”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

We spent there one afternoon in August and were lucky enough to have a guide / zoo keeper all by ourselves. It was just amazing how knowledgeable he was and how much we actually learnt about Australian wildlife.
The highlight? Well, Blinky of course, the lovely koala. We had a very close encounter, and were even allowed to cuddle him in terms of scratching his back. Shooting koala close-ups was cool, too and feeding the kind kangaroos equally delightful.
Potoroo Palace is a rather small, well-designed sanctuary. We've been to zoos all over the world and found that one really unique. Not too big, very personal. And what counts most, all the animals we've seen lived in large enclosures and seemed to be happy.
We had some unforgettable moments at Potoroo Palace. Highly recommendable!

“Very informative!”
Reviewed April 22, 2012

Nice place to take the kids and see animals up close and personal, we fed the kangaroos and patted an echidna and koala too! Very family friendly, keepers were very friendly and informative.
Tip: pack your lunch for a picnic / feed the ducks!
