in merimbula for a wedding and stayed at MBR. Absolutely first class, great amenities, friendly helpful staff and loads to do. We stayed in an oceanview spa cabin (no 7), clean, comfortable and what a view. Next time we will stay in "the point" (nextdoor) with its 180 degree views of ocean and surf. It was great to drift off to sleep with the sound of the surf, cooling breezes and the call of night birds. It is a short drive to town but it is worth it.

Room Tip: any of the cliff top options.

Stayed for only 3 nights (unfortunately). Would love to stay for longer and will definately be back.
We stayed in Cabin 1 called appropriately "The Point" with the most amazing views over the beach and right around to the ocean.

It had a great deck with a huge table with a barbecue in the middle. A dishwasher, microwave, gas oven and all the mod cons were provided.

The only negatives were the bed was a bit hard for my liking (but that is a personal issue) and the roller shutter on the bathroom window did not work so was permanently closed. This made it impossible to enjoy the view of the beach while relaxing in the spa.

The staff were friendly and due to its location there was no traffic or other noise, other than relaxing the sound of the ocean.

We will definately return.

The Honda Goldwing Motorcycle ACT & Southern Highlands Chapter had booked in for a function at the park for two days. Reception staff were friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble. All the ladies had smiles on their faces, which really impressed us. We stayed in 'Seabreeze Cabin' no.5 and I must say, the ensuite was immaculate, the cabin smelt fresh and clean and the spare room was a double bunk with single on top, lots of room to put your gear down on. The food from the 'Cheeky Mango' (dinner) was delicious and the staff also are welcoming. The open kitchen area half way down the park was clean and the barbeque facilities worked well. The fridge was spotless and so were the seating areas. There was a jug and toaster, plus microwave for one's use also.
All our group commented on what an absolutely fantastic place this was and we certainly will come back again. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone that would like to visit Merimbula.

Room Tip: All in all, everyone said the rooms were great and second to none!

My husband and I have just started caravaning again after a 25 year hiatus (kids now grown up). We have been travelling down the south coast of NSW 1st stop from Sydney Huskisson, Narooma and now Merimbula. Pulled into this Big 4 star caravan park a bit apprehensive after friends recommending that they weren't worth the money. Well I have to dispute this BIG TIME, we were greeted by Nikki and after requesting a quiet area of the park was given Site 37 , overlooking the ocean. I was given a welcome bag with everything required from restaurants, clubs, shopping, childcare, local activities and maps. The facilities are spotless and appear to be cleaned and checked 3 times a day. Two heated pools, spotless, lots of activities for children (we are grandparents), but definitely worth noting. Great coffee at the cafe/bar, fantastic facilities. After staying previously at Narooma for the same money it was like "chalk and cheese" ABSOLUTELY NO COMPARISON. HIGHLY RECOMMEND CANNOT SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT THIS PARK.

Room Tip: If you wish a quieter end of the park head up too 37 plus, BBQ, VIEWS AND AWAY FROM THE KIDS ACTIVIT...

We had a fantastic view of the ocean, and could hear the lovely sound of the waves crashing day and night. We loved it. Magpies, seagulls and rainbow lorikeets came to visit our deck daily which was great. We enjoyed the gas heated swimming pool every day, and adored the closeness of Short Point beach to walk, swim and enjoy. Also found the rocky area beneath the park to be wonderful to explore and be close to the sea, birds and even a snake! The towels and sheets were white and good quality and I was very impressed.

Room Tip: Very windy in the afternoons, but thats the way it is at Merimbula. You could stay further back int...

We stayed for 4 nights, and could have stayed for 10. Excellent proximity to the beach, coupled with amazing activities for the whole family to enjoy made this an excellent holiday. We stayed in a Waterview Spa Villa with a view of Short Point Beach, and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our trip. We have found our annual holiday point.

We attended a wedding at the resort from Thursday until Sunday and from arriving there on Thursday night till leaving on Sunday everything was excellent. The staff, facilities was great. Our children had a great time and we felt safe leaving them during the day to go to the wedding. We rarely go on holidays due to work but hopefully we will make time to visit Merimbula Beach Resort sooner than later. We have already told many people how great our weekend was!!
