My son and his new wife were recently married on the grounds (see my review of the Green Gables Restaurant) and many of us stayed in the cabins on site. The property has been maintained by one family as I'm told it was constructed early during the last century. The cabins were really attractive. The cabins are really multi-unit suites constructed of stone and logs. Very comfortable with fireplaces, kitchens and sitting areas. They are set up like little 'nests,' so much so that we noted that it would be comfortable holding up here on a rainy day to watch the movie on the flat screen, read books or even have it function as an out of the way office for the day. The sleep was very comfortable - not sure if it had AC as it was nicely cool such that windows with a fan were more than adequate. The bath is small with a standup shower but that was fine. The kitchenette is also adequate for the needs of the occupants. I'd like to stay again if I were out that way.
