While riding our bikes around L.H. exploring the island, we ended up coming down the hill towards the museum. even though we had already been in to look around the museum, we decided it was coffee time. Lovely friendly staff. Quick service. Nice balcony to sit at and overlook the palms.
a good place to stop for a cuppa. bike parking right out front. we never had any meals here so can't comment on them. but the coffee was good. a nice quiet relaxing place to stop for a while and plan your day.

We stayed at Leanda Lei for a week and each day, as part of our travel package, we had breakfast at the Coral Cafe. Each morning, we were greeted by a beautiful smile from Stephen as we arrived. Stephen would cook up bacon, eggs, baked beans, etc ready for us to eat when we arrived. We were never offered the same food, two days in a row. Stephen most attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We also lunched at the Coral Cafe. The milkshakes were very yummy. I am more than happy to recommend the Coral Cafe.

There's not many places where you can find the museum curator running around in bare feet, fixing internet connections after a subtropical down pour one minute, introducing an audio visual display to a group of visitors or chatting with visiting scientists over morning coffee the next but this is one of them. Coral Cafe is nestled in the Tourist Information Centre and LHI Museum hub. Anyone and everyone ends up here at some point during their stay on LHI and its the low key ambience and unique setting that really makes it worth while. The mugs are big the countertop cakes and slices are homemade and the service friendly. LHI is all about connections. Connections with place and people. This week we met a well known politician, a childrens book author, the local weed crew and a visiting birdo as we sat sipping coffee in between activities. Brilliant!

The museum is a must for the history buffs, the cafe is best for a cuppa and homemade slices. The lunch menu is not spectacular, simple wraps and sandwiches and the staff are pleasant.
