There's not many places where you can find the museum curator running around in bare feet, fixing internet connections after a subtropical down pour one minute, introducing an audio visual display to a group of visitors or chatting with visiting scientists over morning coffee the next but this is one of them. Coral Cafe is nestled in the Tourist Information Centre and LHI Museum hub. Anyone and everyone ends up here at some point during their stay on LHI and its the low key ambience and unique setting that really makes it worth while. The mugs are big the countertop cakes and slices are homemade and the service friendly. LHI is all about connections. Connections with place and people. This week we met a well known politician, a childrens book author, the local weed crew and a visiting birdo as we sat sipping coffee in between activities. Brilliant!
