Everyone is welcome here for afternoon tea and/or cocktails. The staff are a credit to the establishment as they are most welcoming to guests and non guests.
We enjoyed chilling out here with a cuppa and cake or cocktail after walks and swims.
Very pleasant on the deck looking out to the palms feeling a million miles away from where ever..........

There aren't that many places to dine on LHI and Arajilla is one of the even more expensive places for dinner ($100/pp) but for a special occasion it is worth the visit. (I noticed there were no prices on the menu, as in "if you need to ask how much you can't afford to eat here" attitude.) I had a cocktail to start which was quite strong and they forgot to give me bread, which I had to request and it's not to be missed it comes out warm and the butter just melts into the bread. I had the cuttlefish as an entree which was not rubbery at all. The lamb as a main and the meat just fell off the bone and was so tender. And finally the pavlova for dessert which was soaked in sweetness which I loved. Stumbled back to my hotel full as a pig. (Apparently they provide transport back to your hotel but I didn't ask and they didn't offer.)

Great fit-out, nice staff and I understand that we are a long way from home but $18 for an entree and $38 for a very small main on a big plate is a bit much.

Perfect for couples wanting the most sophisticated dining experience on the island but maybe a bit over the top for mere mortals.

Also didn't like the two entrees, chicken, fish, vege mains options, and then one desert + a cheese platter. You get more choice at Pandanas, with a better vibe and better prices, even if the food is not quite as good.

Anyway, the place looked great, the food was best on the island, service was good, just did not like the limited menu choice (and changes daily so you don't know what you will get until you turn up - you could strike it lucky) and small portion sizes.

We were looking for a three course meal but ended up with only one course due to the limited range offering limited appeal last night.

Hope this helps.

Each time we have been on LHI Arajilla has been full so all of our dining relates to being guests.

Yep some meals haven't been knock your socks off, but then again they weren't bad. LHI deals with limited fare which is vey much determined by availability which makes some meals more equal than other s ;) Now we've probably done about 56 meals at Arajilla and tbh there isn't any I'd really complain about..

as an FYI GD isn't really vege but the meals on the vege menu really took her fancy...no probs for the chef to add either kingfish, seafood or chicken (hearkens back to location guys) and no she isn;t fussy, if they couldn't do it she had alternatives, sometimes it was an entree main size.. (yeah maybe she is fussy)

As an FYI done Humpty Micks (now something else) and Pandanus...good stuff but not cheap and not always open..and during peak may need to be booked well ahead (repeat visitors know this)... for me Humpty (or current incarnation) is good pub grub wit bleeding expensive wines, great option if not self cater or all inclusive and pandanus isn;t an option, Arajilla is about in-house guests, so it should be , you pay to stay there, they do an amazing job looking after you and taking little kids there...well, the restaurant is for over 6s so expect the restaurant to be geared the same way
