Had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful, unusual place with our friends. We all enjoyed the stories from Gale, and her husband, Roger was so friendly too. Gale is a lovely lady who seems to have this "aura" around her and she is totally enthralling. Gale's collection of lamps are simply overwhelming, along with the history of each piece.
Have no hesitiation in recommending this wonderful Black Queen Theatre.

I found the Black Queen captivating. It was a highlight of our trip to Lightning Ridge. I would recommend it strongly, my only regret was i went solo thinking my husband wouldnt be into it. I WAS SO WRONG, HE WOULD HAVE LOVED IT. And i would have been able to share stories with him after the event. I found it to be soul and thought provoking. With a little mystique and creativity thrown in the mix as well. Still thinking about it 2 weeks later.

Reluctantly I went along with my wife not expecting what was to be a totally enthralling experience Gale captivated the audience, and myself with her stories and amazing lanterns.

If anyone is in Lightning Ridge, The Black Queen is a must see. You will find both Gale and Rodger the most lovely people. The collection of oil lamps that they have has to be seen to be believed. The presentation that Gale does is excellent and also will help you understand some of the history of the Ridge.
