Stayed here in a delux cabin for 4 nights with my husband. Some friends also stayed in bunk beds one night. It was very quiet except for the sound of the waves crashing and the wind.

We were after something afforable but still pretty nice and this was it.

The place was pretty nice and the receptionist was very professional. I felt she should have worked at a fancy hotel! Overall a good place to stay.

This holiday park is in a lovely location on Lake Ainsworth, which is a Tea Tree Lake or black lake. It is also across the road from a beautiful beach at Lennox Head. The local surf club adjacent provides breakfast and lunch and it is quite close to Hotel, Shops and clubs.

The amenities and facilities are really beautiful and new and tis is certainly a park I want to go back to. The only down side is that the sites are very small and quite difficult to get in to, even with a small van. I would not like to be there in peak season as it would be very difficult to get your van in to many of the sites if the surrounding sites were full. Otherwise, a lovely place to visit.

We stayed for four nights in a cabin at the front of the park. The cabin consists of a double bed and a double bunk. Although their is prevision for 5 people in the cabin, fire regulations only allow 4 max per cabin.

The cabins are air-conditioned and include a stove, microwave and a full set of pots, plates and cups. The cabin that we had also included an ensuite.

The park itself is very well maintained. Controlled vehicle entry to the park means limited traffic on the grounds.

This location of the cabins provides convenient walking access to the patrolled surf beach as well as the lake.

Be sure to join the BIg4 camping association which get s a10% discount of the cabin price. The Big4 membership also includes discounts at some businesses, for instance we used it and got a free drink with our meal at Fishy Fishy.

We have booked to go to this cabin again next year.

I have just booked to stay at the Lake Ainsworth Holiday park last minute for New Years Eve. I called on the 26/12 thinking there would be no way they would have availability. The staff member Christine was extremely helpful in accommodating our needs at such late notice. We are looking forward to enjoying a lovely break at this park on the NYE weekend.

Thank you Lake Ainsworth Holiday Park for your great customer service, it is much appreciated, especially at this time of the year when peoples manners seem to go out the window.

Our first trip to Lennox Head and well worth the journey. We stayed in our camper trailer in the Lake Ainsworth Holiday Park and not having been before we booked a site over the internet. Once we arrived we realised the site would probably not suit us as, being the start of school holidays, the sites at the front of the park were pretty full up. We asked if there were any other sites available and were directed to another site which was at the back of the park and perfect for us. The sites were very large (I think we could have set up two of our camper trailers on the one site). It backed onto bushland - there was a dirt road about 50 metres behind the bush but not a lot of traffic went by. It was quiet and not far to walk to the amenities block. There was abundant bird life and lots of native trees. A short stroll across the road to Lake Ainsworth, which is a tea tree lake and also next to a patrolled beach with a surf life saving club. Plenty of very good cafes and small shops were within walking distance and we were lucky enough to see echidnas, dolphins and whales just while strolling. A bit of a sleepy hollow about to be awakened, a short drive to Ballina to the South and Byron to the North. Definitely happy to return to this park for our next camping holiday.

Room Tip: Different ages of onsite cabins, all looked ok, but the newer ones would definitely be my pick for c...
