This is one of those how did it happen restaurants. Really good French cooking in a small irrigation town with a mainly Anglo/Italian heritage.
Well trained French chef meets meets nice Australian girl with italian parents. They marry and decide to settle in her home town. Bingo - Leeton has a top class French restaurant.
Food is top notch. You pay a bit more than you might expect in the country, but nothing like what you'd pay in Sydney or Melbourne for similar food.
Eric seems to like to experiment when things are quiet, so it's worthwhile keeping an eye on the specials board as well.
The comfit of duck served with pork belly seemed to be a hit with my dining party as bit that night's special both the mains and the desert special.
Service is relaxed without being lax and the atmosphere is pleasant. Relatively small wine list with mainly local wines and the coffee is good as well.
Well worth doing if your in Leeton.
I think Pages is also opened for lunch most days as well
