“Just love it!!!!!,”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

We stay here every year for our annual Xmas party and I personally book the 1 bedroom apartment as I have stayed in the hotel rooms and the noise of the air conditioning unit is way to annoying and loud. Love the service and can't fault it!!!! The only thing I would fault is the pool chairs...they have changed them this year and they are probably the most uncomfortable chairs I have ever sat on!!!! Especially when you do spend a couple of hours around this beautiful pool!!! But this won't stop us returning again and again. The breakfast is amazing and so much too choose from!! Overall love this place and will return over and over again!!!!,

Room Tip: It's worth the extra to stay in a 1 bedroom apartment!!!

We were extremely disappointed with our stay which included a few firsts in our extensive travel experiences. These included;
- $20 an hour for a late checkout
- even though we paid for full breakfast an omelette cost an extra $20 and a coffee $4.50.
-No coffee/tea service at your table. Either self serve or go to counter and order.
Provision of these things at no charge is simply standard at a reasonable hotel. The buffet breakfast was ver average.

As well as this;
-air conditioner units on balcony was so noisy it had to be turned off
- food trays with scraps on them left in corridor for over 12 hours
- room daily cleaning service consisted of making the bed and changing towels only and didn't happen to mid afternoon
- beach towels provided were smaller than bath towels
- no poolside drinks service unless you went to the bar and ordered
I tried to google star rating and got various outcomes from not having an official rating to suggestions of 5 Star. This place is definitely not 5 Star - more like 3 Star.

I must make it clear that I don't believe any of this is the fault of staff who were very friendly, helpful and I think - embarrassed by some of these Management practices.

Dear Ross, thanks for your feedback.
I was unhappy to read of your experiances - as you can see from other guetss who have stayed with us and passed comment, they have been very pleased with the level of service and the options for food and beverage at the resort.
I am sorry we did not meet your expectations, as we do try and exceed all of our guests requirements.
I do hope you will allow us the opportunity to accomodate you again in the future.
Have a great Christmas.

This resort has a family feel. We stayed because we enjoy going to Fins restaurant nearby.
Lots of families, they probably need more pool chairs as there weren't enough to go around.
Lovely big pool for kids to play in.
Probably not a resort for singles unless you book a room with its own plunge pool.
They looked inviting, but not private.
We firstly stayed in a resort room, I wouldn't recommend these rooms, very small, poky with a verandah that contained a noisy air conditioner unit from the one bedroom apartment next door.
You were at the mercy of the other occupier and their use of the air conditioner.
We asked to change rooms and management were very obliging.
The one bedroom unit was really an amazing difference. Very spacious, large verandah, separate living area and kitchen and no air condoning unit on the verandah.

Room Tip: Don't stay in a resort room if you can upgrade, you won't regret it.

Dear Kim,
Great tips - the resort room is traditonally used for the smaller clients in our familiy, and as such is set up this way in our room configurations.
But they do offer all the conveiniences of a tradional Hotel room, and always include free WiFi and in house movies!
We look forward to looking after you again in the near future.
Have a great Christmas.

Took some friends to stay for a birthday celebration & enjoyed our 3 day stay. This is a world away from the Gold Coast crowds, shops & buildings, yet still has that "resort" feel. Loved the buffet breakfast. The beach is wonderful.

Noticed that what used to be included (wifi, bicycle hire) now has separate charges...a shame but not really surprised....will be returning!

This a great family resort with nice facilities, great lagoon pool and very close to a white sandy beach. The pool area is especially safe for small children and ther were many families staying here. We rented a two bedroom apartment for six days and it had lots of space, two balconies and a large living area with basic self catering facilities. The resort is located in Salt Village and there is a good choice of nice restuarants and a pub close to the resort. I would stay here again in the future

I stayed at Peppers Salt Resort for 2 nights as part of a small conference group. On the whole we had a great experience. The hotel rooms were comfortable, all with balconies and nice beds. I didn't notice the air-conditioning was particularly noisy as some reviewers have noted. The room furnishings were not as practical as they could be - no table or spare surface to leave stuff. No decent size shelf in the shower to leave toiletries. The interconnecting doors are noisy but it was not a major issue for me.

The public areas are fanastic. Pools are great and the bar areas very nice. We ate at Season restaurat both nights and found it okay but very noisy and expensive. There are much better places to eat within a 1 minute walk of the resort. Breakfast was everything you might expect from a 4 star resort like this one.

The real advantage of the resort is its location. An easy walk to the beach, shops and cafes are very close and the bike hire is a great idea. I would come back but defintely not in school holiday time. It does seem to attract a lot of families with small children so relaxing by the pool was a bit of a challenge.

One issue I found extraordinarty was the 2% fee charged if you use your credit card to pay for anything. I was charged $17 in fees and that was outrageous. Staff were very nice.

Room Tip: Try for a top floor room at the end of a corridor. They are corner rooms with bigger balconies.

Spend November mid-week break with my partner for two nights in 1 bedroom spa suite with own plunge pool. Just perfect!
The location of the resort to start with it's so great, surroundings very nice and the beach and all restaurants and cafes around like a small village.
Room itself very nice and spacious. The weather was little cloudy, so the own plunge pool little too cold to jump in, but I'm sure would be very nice private place to spend some time during weekends and school holidays to get away from busy public pools, especially in hot weather.
Free in room movies very great addition, never had that before! Also free internet in the room.
Breakfast was very good too. Good selection and have to mention if you are celiac or after gluten free things, they got 2 different bread and muesli on the buffet available, don't even need to ask for it!
Overall so great place for a little get away and already planning another break and will bring the kids this time too with us! As a tip would recommend to pay extra for 1 bedroom apartment instead of standard room!

Room Tip: Pay extra for 1 bedroom apartment instead of standard room- so much more spacious!
