Very nice location. 20 minutes over the Qld border.
We booked a studio . Only has bed, fridge tv and small bathroom. No cooking facilities. There are larger rooms with these included. If you just want to relax and not do much then this is the place for you. If you want to laze by the pool get there early, some people like to come early and place towels on chairs to reserve then and don't come back for hours.... no real shaded areas elsewhere so take plenty of sunscreen. Pool bar is good and snacks aplenty. If you like beer don't get it inside the pool are. No glass allowed, Caron's in a plastic cup is not nice.
Beach is a 5 minute walk..
The resort includes a shopping precinct.
You get a pub with meals.
Iga, 2 fashion shops, a booteo
Ice cream shop, fish and chips, Thai, seafood restart, pizza restaurant.
2 pools and 2 tennis courts.
If you really need the big smoke, Tweed heads is 15 mins drive.
Hastings point and Pottsville are a nice short drive and have some lovely cafes.
About an hour down the road is Byron Bay for those who need the hippy hit.

The mantra is a lovely resort with wonderful dining experiences at the adjacent Salt Village. 20 mins south from GC airport, backing onto the beach and within an easy bike ride to Kingscliff along safe bike paths it enjoys a perfect location! Only disappointments were the pool facilities - not enough for the resorts size - and no free wifi.

We loved staying at the Mantra Kingscliff. We couldn't ask for a better location, the staff are always very friendly & welcoming and overall the resort has a lovely relaxed feel about it - which is what you want when on holidays !

We love the location. On beachfront with surf patrol or can use choice of 2 pools at resort. Lots of reasonable restaurants for all budgets within walking. Breakfast was delicious or can do your own in your room. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Our rooms were more than adequate and comfortable. Only suggestion is to put air con in bed room rather than just a fan as it gets hot and stuffy in bedroom.

Lovely pool area, and right on the beach. Ideal for a relaxing break.
If you want peace and quiet ask for a room away from the pool as it is very busy (we were there during school holidays)
Lots of eating options at Salt Village. Will definitely stay again.
