This one night stay was a belated christmas present from work. We were in great need of a relaxing night away and Mantra on Salt was a fantastic place to do this.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, letting us know where we could eat and giving us a map of where to find our room (the complex is huge). The room was clean and tidy with a fully functional kitchen, washing machine, 2 televisions, complimentary toiletries and a scintillating spa bath that will get the blood flowing.
The bed was comfortable enough, we could have used an extra blanket or two as the one supplied was very thin and there were no others in the room. Having said that, its not really a huge issue as we awoke to sunshine streaming in through the verandah, accompanied by whales splashing around in the ocean on the horizon which we could see from our bed.
We checked out about an hour late but the staff were very pleasant about it and didn't charge us extra...
All round an extremely pleasant and relaxing stay, thanks Mantra on Salt...

Many thanks for your response,

It is amazing how long our whale season has lasted this year-what a great experience to see as you wake from bed.
It is great to hear you had a great experience, we look forward to welcoming you again soon.

We had a pleasant stay here over a long weekend. School holidays make this place a little harder to enjoy, purely by the design. Screams echo through the hallways so it's hard to enjoy a sleep in. Service was good. Front of house were lovely and very welcoming upon arrival. Breakfast was great value. Afternoon drinks by the pool were a highlight and the proximity to the beach is unrivalled. Didn't like having a single room attached to a family with a joint access door. Our neighbours were not so considerate with slamming it. Having stayed at Peppers recently, I think we would return there over here but still a good stay at a great rate. Would think twice before paying full rates.

Good Afternoon,

Thank you for your response. All reviews highlight good ,bad or indifferent in all areas of our resorts.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. The dual key apartment can sometimes be tricky. We do have 2 bedroom apartments located on the front of our buildings which allow one door access, something to consider for next time.

Appreciate your comments in terms of staff and service. You had fantastic weather to enjoy drinks by the pool and the facilities.

Many Thanks

No 24 hr room service - average over priced restaurants in and around the complex. Drinks in the main bar extremely expensive and you get rushed out at 10.30pm. Pokey rooms with poor layout. Peculiar designed building with massive waste of space. Staff weren't overly helpful - seemed like just a job for them. They hit you with a credit card surcharge which is rude.

I appreciate youff taking the time to write an honest review.

It is unfortunate this review reflects badly on Mantra Salt when the facilities mentioned are in the village ajoining the resort.

As we are a serviced apartment building mini bar has never been an addition, however local restaurants in Kingscliff do deliver to our rooms.

Many Thanks,

Lisa

We stayed here for 2 nights. It was quite good although I thought that the bed wasn't very comfortable - this was surprising as I thought they had replaced all the beds in the last couple of weeks.
There was no daily room servicing.
We enjoyed the pool area and being close to a number of restaurants etc

My Charlie Boy,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. You are correct bedding is being replaced throughout the resort. This is occuring in stages, so disspointing you never got to experience this.

Many Thanks

Lisa

There's nothing wrong with this resort. It's clean, modern and comfortable. But the whole area just lacks soul and character. We found ourselves saying, "it's great for families with kids". Translation: there's a safe pool; plenty of space in the apartments and a beautiful beach - but nothing much else.

Rooms are bland and comfortable with plantation shutters providing most of the decoration. Perfectly fine. Totally uninteresting.

On the upside, there are a few lovely cafes and restaurants in the alfresco strip of shops. I would highly recommend the 'pop up' Portuguese tapas bar in the Fins restaurant: bold, flavoursome and good value.

Room Tip: Beach views are lovely but cost more. Many non-beach view rooms actually have a lovely view of the s...
