“Disappointed one night stayed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2010

Stayed here for one night. The cleanliness of the room is a big concern to me. There was one dead cockroach on the carpet!!! This is absolutely disgusting to see cockroach in this highly rated resort.
The room is very run down, there is no bath robes, slippers and safe in the bedroom. The pillows are as
flat as few sheets of pillow cases stitched together.
The only plus in our room is managed to have a little bit of
ocean view.
Overall, not happy with the stayed

We stayed here only one night on our way home, and the town of Kiama was gorgeous. The hotel was walking distance to harbour, lighthouse, blowhole and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and there was no noise from outside or other rooms. The full buffet breakfast served at restaurant of the hotel was fantastic, with a great selection of good quality breakfast foods. There was a market in full swing when we arrived, and the shopping was great for a small town. I would recommend this hotel and the town of Kiama.

We had my daughters wedding here. The staff you couldn't wish for any better. We all traveled up from Victoria, and was suprised with what was done for us. Attention to detail, they even kept us up to date, when we were still at home. also when at last minute we had to add more guests it wasn't a probblem, Food was cook to perfection. to all who would stay here you won't regret it.

Booked two nights through the internet and managed to negotiate a much cheaper rate than advertised for a third night on our arrival. It is pretty costly to stay on a Saturday night. We were up graded to a studio unit, which didn't have a balcony. Many guests in the warmer months would prefer the balcony. I never used the kitchenette facilities. The buffet breakfast, included in our rate was nothing special.
We ate in the Thai restaurant attached to the hotel. We were impressed with the food, price and service.
Our room faced the road, but there was no noise at all. The hotel only had one lift that went down to the dining area, which I could imagine will be a problem if the hotel is full. There was no stair access which is annoying when you want to use the stairs.
Good value if guests manage to get a cheaper rate. Be careful the train line runs right along side one side of the building. The hotel does not have a pool.

Stayed here for two nights, a Friday and Saturday. As i've mentioned in my previous reviews i tend to choose accomodation based on the quality of their car parks, and this one was very good. It's underground, and there were plenty of spaces (this may not be the case all year round though) and a few spaces were by themselves where no-one can open their door onto you, or it would be dificult to get backed into etc. So 9/10 for the carpark.

We were visiting family in the southern suburbs of wollongong, and this motel was only about 20 minutes away along the princess freeway/highway. So that was good for us. It was reasonably priced, especially compared to the overpriced places in wollongong itself. We got a getaway package directly through the motel, which included breakfast each morning and a bottle of bubbly. Breakfast was very good, we ate early so the restaurant wasn't too crowded.

Only problem we had was that when we got to our room there were two single beds instead of one king. We called reception and the problem was fixed promptly, however they just joined the beds together, so it wasn't really that comfortable, especially in the middle of the bed. Not so good for a 'romantic weekend' if you know what i mean. Otherwise though, i couldn't fault this hotel. Service and staff were very good. Was clean and comfortable.

We ate dinner one night at the Thai restaurant on site, and it was very good, even with the slightly abrupt waiter.

We'll definately consider this hotel when we go to wollongong next year to visit family. I'd like to stay for longer and see a bit more of kiama, i'm told they have a fine blowhole.

We have just arrived back from a two night stay at the Sebel Harbourside Kiama and could not be more delighted with our experience. The hotel and the rooms are just as they appear in the photos on their website, very modern, well equiped and BIG. Like many of the others to review this hotel, we were fortunate to receive a complimentary upgrade and found ourselves with a fabulous view of the harbour and ocean. All staff were very courteous and obviously well trained in the art of providing the guests with a great experience. Nothing was a trouble and no request was declined. The complimentary undercover parking was also much appreciated and it was comforting to know our car was out of the weather and secure. We enjoyed a meal in the restaurant and found the variety on offer at breakfast to be more than adequate. We look forward to our next stay.

This is a very beautiful small hotel in a quaint little town. The rooms are modern and pleasant. The breakfast was great and it was nice to dine in the outdoor areas.
