“A great place to stay”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

We stayed here for 7 days in early April. A great experience especially as we are keen amateur cyclists. Our hosts who are experienced cyclists provided trail maps, advice on tracks suited to our capability and tips on adjusting our bikes to make riding easier. The rooms are very clean and nicely appointed, there is a guest lounge room and a long verandah where you can sit and relax and enjoy the views across the paddocks to rolling hills. We had leisurely breakfasts, wonderful evening meals specially catering to our vegetarian, low fat needs, and delightful company in our hosts who were focussed on making our stay not just enjoyable but good fun. We loved the alpacas and the vegetable garden which produced fresh produce for our meals, we felt like completely at home and after 7 days didn't want to leave! Junee is an Australian country town with an interesting history, accessible by train from Sydney and Melbourne, a monthly farmers' market, a Licorice and Chocolate factory, a nice local swimming pool, beautiful roses, and a number of pubs and cafes to sample. We will definitely go back.

Room Tip: Both rooms are nicely appointed, comfortable and have full length windows onto the verandah and the...

After participating in a host lead bike ride through the quiet rolling countryside around Junee it was great to be able to sit back with a cup of tea and relax on the wide verandah looking out over the garden to the distant hills.
Our room was a good size with a very comfortable queen size bed and views of the surrounding countryside.
We had the Eat 'n' Run breakfast with delicious home made jams and we also chose to eat in and have an evening meal with our hosts. The food is home style cooking with a gourmet flair. The dinner option is one we would definitely recommend to others.
Hand feeding the Alpacas was a real treat.
