Owner description: Hyams beach is a long beach with spectacular white sand located in Jervis Bay. The best way to get there is to take the White Sands Walk from Greenfield Beach or Vincentia, that way you get to enjoy more than one of Jervis Bay’s spectacular white sand beaches.

“Yes the hype is true”
Reviewed February 4, 2014

The sand is white and it does squeak, just as you've read many times before. Great beach for families. Heading towards Hyam's beach, when you come to the final T-junction in the road if you head left towards the toilet facilities the beach is pretty small. Turn right instead and there is more beach access that way and it leads to a longer stretch of the beach. Importantly for us there was adequate room to play soccer and cricket on the beach.

“Sand, sea, friendly faces”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

Whether Hyams Beach has the whitest sand in the world or just some of the whitest is an argument I'll leave to others. What is true is that it and its bordering beaches are absolutely, stunningly beautiful. Driving down the narrow road to Hyams, parking (with difficulty some days) and walking down to the beach always gives my family a thrill. Be warned that the waves can be rough at high tide and when the wind is up -- you definitely want to keep an eye on the littlies. But when the sun is high, the sky is blue and the waters look so inviting, there's nowhere else I'd rather be. It's worth mentioning that every time I've been there, even on Australia Day, the other people on the beach have been friendly and welcoming, with practically no drunks (an occupational hazard on some Aussie beaches, unfortunately). Note that it's mandatory to stop off at the Hyams Beach Cafe. There can be a bit of a wait, particularly with the takeaway line, but the food is well worth it. Plus you'll get to meet Albert, the cafe's stoic dog, who keeps watch over all.

“Lovely sands and turquoise water”

A beautiful beach in a small seaside resort. Only drawback in the summer is finding somewhere to park.

“White sand and picturesque landscape”
Reviewed January 18, 2014 via mobile

A must see when visiting Jervis Bay. The beach is filled with the "whitest sand in the world" and the turquoise water creates the perfect backdrop. Hyams Beach itself is quite small and rocky, so walking to the next beach south, Seamans Beach, is recommended. It has the same squeaky white sand and stretches a long way around the bay. Hyams Beach is the perfect location to go for a swim, play on the beach and take stunning photos.

“Stunning find”
Reviewed January 15, 2014

Enroute from Canberra to Sydney we came across places to visit on google Jervis Bay and hyams beach. Images were so tempting we had to have a look. We arrived at 1pm and wished we had arrived at 9 am. The village, facilities and of course the beach stunning. Only concern no SLSC but that didn't stop us as we stayed until late and have just booked to stay for the weekend next month
