Went there last week as a group of students and I couldn't find much fault with the place, yeah it's not 5 star, but it was clean (well mine and my friends rooms were at least! Don't know what the other people here are talking about..) and tidy. And above all the service was excellent. Extremely friendly staff, lovely smiles, and just great customer service! I really enjoyed my stay there, it was really lovely. Thank you for your smiles! :)

I stayed there a week ago with 90 other students and teachers for a school camp. The beds were TERRIBLE to sleep on, the room stunk, it was dirty and boring, the pool was green and freezing even in the middle of summer, the shower tiles were cracked and rusty, numbers were falling off of doors and us guests were being blamed and charged for $10 a number, the tennis court needed some DESPARATE work and the games room was an old room with an empty pool table in it, surrounded by cobwebs. On the other hand, the food was great and the service was alright. I would recommend staying there for a very short period of time.

Room Tip: Choose room 218. It's high up and clean and big. Or if you want a room on level 1, choose room 1...

We got 2 rooms (4 adults). They had bad smell and many faults. Mosquitoes net had holes, lights bulbs were burnt and so on..... The surrounding is very nice, but it isn't a reason to stay there...

The location is beautiful, set in a forest with (noisy) peacocks walking around, tennis court and pool.
But it needs a major overhaul and clean-overall it is pretty run down. There are various outside areas that suggest its a nice place to sit, but the chairs are covered in the dirt of ages. Our room was very dark even with all the lights on, very little natural light. It looked like something out of the 1970s although there was a new TV, fridge, and tea making facilities. For $140 for a double room I thought it was pretty downmarket. However, the staff were very friendly, and didnt make a fuss when we were late checking out.

i feel sorry for the owner, where would you start to do this place up. the games room was old and smelt, the rooms were dirty and broken. We travelled to the lodge to stay for a few days with a lot of family. We thought our room must have been one that was special. After seeing our families rooms we felt what a bad choice to stay. Some shower screens were broken, toilets were cracked and the septic was terible.the pool was green and the common areas were in very bad condition. The staff don't seem to care anymore as when you ask for some assistance it seems like you are troubling them, One of our family members even received an electric shock when he plugged in his laptop charger. I am sure that 20 years ago the groungs and rooms were really nice, that was then. To the owner, spend some money and make the place safe and habitable, we shouldnt have to fix things to make our stay a better one.

Positives: Great Setting in the middle of nature; staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Service with a smile. It is close to the beaches of kiama or if you want to go the other way to the southern highlands. Swimming Pool, Tennis court, rooms are cosy. Ideal for couples and also for families who just want to chill out reading a book near the pool while the kids enjoy the water

Not so positives: The rooms are in a okay condition but are getting dated so perhaps an overhaul might be due in a few years time. Although we were booked as a couple there was only 1shampoo sachet. We did not use the air conditioning however we could hear the air con noise from next room late at night. Luckily they switch it off too around midnight

We did not visit their restaurant but I have heard from other guests that it is very good.

Overall good experience. We would come again the next time we visit this area again
