“Charming guest house with charming owners”

The reviews say it all. Huski b&b is a real gem. My wife and two sons (5 & 2.5 yrs) stayed here for three nights as part of our big trip from London (UK) to Terang in Victoria, for a family wedding.

Jervis Bay was our first port of call after spending 5 days maxing out in Sydney. It was the perfect place to relax, take it easy and enjoy the wonderful scenery of the area. Kate and Steve were simply wonderful and made us feel very welcome.

Sundae, the chocolate labrador, was a real hit with my sons and there were a few tears when we came to say goodbye. But we were happy to have found this gem of a place and one day, I hope we can come back.

I need to say a special thanks to Kate, who not only was incredibly helpful, insightful and friendly - but also sent my wedding suit on to Melbourne after I had typically left it (and my wife's dress) in the wardrobe. It's that kind of touch that make a stay at the huski b&b a very special, enjoyable and stress free experience.

Our stay with Kate and Steve was one of the highlights of our 4 week trip to Australia, which was one of the highlights of 2009.

We were all sad to wave goodbye, but happy to have stayed in such a

For a whole load of reasons, you wont want to leave Huski b&b.

Is it the location that makes a great getaway? Perhaps it's the people you meet there? Or is it the accommodation you stay in? It's possible that a getaway can be brilliant or ghastly because of any or all of these factors, don't you think? Well from the most sincere depths of my heart I am here to irrefutably say that Huskisson Bed and Breakfast is just simply the most stunningly located, quintessential in its elegance, subtlety appointed shabby chic B&B that I have had the pleasure of calling home (if but for a weekend!). Kate and Steve Broadhurst are very attentive and generous hosts whose desire is to provide you with all the privacy you could want and a level of local knowledge that will deliver you to some breathtaking locations. Your experience at Huskisson Bed and Breakfast will include a charmingly appointed bedroom and space to unwind with a wine on the deck in summer or rugged up playing a board game in front of the fire in the living room in winter – oh, did I mention beaches with white sand and crystal clear waters to rival the tropics, local history, whale and dolphin watching and bushwalks? The other vital information I must impart is about the breakfast aspect of your stay at Huskisson Bed and Breakfast...if you can envisage fantastic coffee made by Steve (yes, my connoisseur friends, he DOES know what he's doing), sour dough toast from the Berry Bakery, locally made jams and marmalades (of so many persuasions that Nigella would be jealous), not to mention the bircher muesli and fresh orange juice, then you are two thirds of the way to your own delightful experience of Huskisson Bed and Breakfast...all that is left for you to do is ring Kate and Steve to book your stay. You will be very happy you did.

This 1913 cottage has an effortless charm and relaxed ambience while still offering the compulsory indulgent luxuries of a renovated weekender (or in our case, a mid-week wedding anniversary escape). Hosts Kate and Stephen are friendly, thoughtful and accommodating. We felt very welcome in bringing our 4 month old daughter along and a cot was happily provided for her. In the evening our Indian takeaway dinner was transformed into a romantic dinner and memorable evening when a scattering of tealight candles suddenly appeared on our garden table! I am certainly looking forward to returning to that claw foot bath, the underfloor heating, mesmerisingly high and angular ceiling in our Garden room and the mouthwateringly good poached fruit at breakfast. Huskisson B&B fulfills my wish list for the ideal bed and breakfast.

The place to stay if you are looking for more personal touches and wish to be welcomed as if you were with family and not a B & B.
The best "hotel" for very well behaved little dogs "like Cleo" that like other dogs and cats.
Scrumptous breakfast and coffee Steve!!!!
My husband and i have been 4 times with our dog Cleo and the last time with our parents and my brother as well, so Kate had a full house.
In winter the fireplace is perfect and nothing is better than watching it at night with a drink in hand.

Huskisson B & B was so relaxing to stay at. If you're looking for a special time to just hang out at home, but be away from home, this is the place to stay. Beautiful little town and quiet space to enjoy time out.

I went back home to Sydney last month and decided to spend a night at Huskisson with my mom and younger sister. My sister was actually the one who booked the place and she made an excellent choice. We just love the place so much. We got one of the bigger room since there were 3 of us- so it's basically private 2 bedroom with one private bathroom. Kate was so lovely making sure that we have a great stay. Both bedrooms were immaculately clean with shabby chic decor which we thought so calming, so does the bathroom. The bathroom was huge with heated floor, separate tub, plenty of toiletry and towels.

In the morning Kate made breakfast for us, and they were yummy! She was so helpful on giving us directions to restaurants and hyams beach. It was pity that it was raining during our stay so we dont get the most out of it, but I will definitely be back the next time I'm back in Sydney.

Our family group took over this place for the June long weekend. Our hostess, Kate, was charming, attentive and accommodating. The rooms were exceptional, with extremely comfortable beds and a beautifully warm wood fire burning in the lounge room. All rooms had extra heating and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was to die for. (I could have stayed in my bathroom, it was that good.) Breakfast was delicious with freshly squeezed juice, a selection of cereals, fresh cooked fruits, hot toast and a selection of beautiful jams and tea and coffee. We sat in the sun on the big verandah in the morning, some of us went on the whale watching cruise and others went into Berry, a short drive, to explore the lovely boutique and craft shops. We had a great meal at the local Chinese Restaurant and sampled food from other local eateries.
It was like being in the comfort of your own home, without any of the work. "I want to go and stay again, longer next time". Thanks Kate for the best weekend I've had for a long time. Liz Brown.
