Reviewed October 1, 2008

Thank you Kate and Steve for a beautiful romantic getaway weekend so beautiful and romantic my handsome partner proposed we hope to come back soon!!. Thank you for making our weekend even more special. Huskisson B & B is close to beautiful beaches and walking distance to town. The owners are an absolute delight and make you feel you are at home as soon as you arrive priceless.!!!. Coffee and breakfast on the verandah is wonderful very luxurious and totally relaxing this small B & B is very private with only two rooms which is what we loved about this. Huskisson is truly a magnificent place to holiday or for a weekend getaway. This B & B is just beautiful we didnt want to leave. Thank you again. Mark & Cheryl ox

The Huskisson B&B is simply the most lovely Guest House on the south coast.

The rooms are stylish and comfortable, just exactly like you've walked into someone's perfect idea of a beach house - but with a great bed and designer bathroom. A long soak in the giant claw foot bath was an absolute must, as is just lounging around in front of the fire in the private sitting room.

We took Kate and Steve's suggestion of a good look-out and saw whales straight away. A walk on the beach the next day included a pod of dolphins swimming alongside us - blissful.

Whales... dolphins... Great beach walks... A gorgeous house to come home to... What more can you ask for in a holiday?

Kate and Steve are the perfect hosts, there when you need them, yet giving you all the privacy you need. Add to that the welcome attention of their gentle Lab, Sundae and you have a recipe for getaway perfection.

As we were sitting on the verandah having our final breakfast (can't recommend highly enough the freshly squeezed orange juice and the best coffee for 200k's), we watched the parrots feasting on the Grevilleas and wondered what the house would look like once the lovely Wisteria was in full bloom.

Only one way to find out - we'll definitely be back for a summer experience at Huskisson B&B!

The only issue will be booking ahead once everyone discovers this gem.

Having just returned (rather reluctantly) from our retreat to the Huskisson B&B in the gorgeous Jervis Bay, we were of two minds whether to rave to the world about the awesomeness of this place, or to jealously guard the secret of Huskisson B&B so that we could have it all to ourselves.

But, feeling generous and rejuvenated after the holiday, we are honoured to share the experience of staying in the Huskisson B&B, run by Kate and Steve, two friendlier and more welcoming people you will never meet, and the furry four-legged greetings in form of Sundae, the doe-eyed labrador, Quokka and Chester, the two kitties of the house.

It's truly a home away from home, we couldn't wait to get back from dinner to curl up in front of the crackling fireplace (Thanks, Steve!), drink tea, and soak in the lovely homey place, down to the tiniest detail of the old-but-much-loved rocking horse, wicker furniture, the giant clawfoot bathtub and a camphor chest.

Am looking forward to the next stay at the Huskisson B&B. Can't wait for another relaxing retreat with white sands, clear blue waters, delicious food, gracious people and, of course, a wonderful place to stay.

We have just spent 3 wonderful relaxing nights at Huskinsson's B&B. The hosts, Kate and Steve, made us feel right at home in their warm and welcoming house. They spoiled us every day with deliciously healthy breakfasts and cosy open fires. We were even brought freshly made cookies when we first arrived!

The bedrooms are free of nick-nacks and bright. The bathroom was modern, clean and had both a bath and shower. The bed was very comfy and the sitting room, with the open fireplace, was so relaxing, we ended up falling asleep on the sofa every evening.

It is very easy to walk into Huskinsson and get to the beach from the B&B. Kate and Steve shared many good tips of where to eat, and what to see. Our best meal in the town was at the Seagrass restaurant. It has delicious seafood and a good selection of wine, all served in a modern setting. Don't miss the whale and dolphin watching trip!

Huskinsson is an easy drive from Sydney. It is a lovely seaside town surrounded by beautiful beaches and countryside. The Huskinsson bed & breakfast is a gem. It is by far the best B&B we have every come across. Much recommended.

The 'Husky' bed and breakfast is an absolutely stunning place to stay, totally relaxing and a real pleasure to meet the owners Kate and Steve, who are lovingly restoring this beautiful house.
The rooms are just perfect, and it really doesn't matter which one you stay in, each has a special magic that along with the whole house has a great aura about it, so clean and crisp yet totally with its own character that has the real home touch.
Kate and Steve are always on hand for anything you need, and their knowledge of the bay and surrounding area is unsurpassed, definitely take advantage of it, especially for recommendations on where to visit and places to eat.
We stayed for two great nights at the beginning of April and it was a real shame to leave. It was our first time in Huskisson and it certainly wont be our last, that is a promise.

Thanks for everything.

My husband and I first discovered this gorgeous B&B when we were looking for a quiet spot to get married and have a few days rest.
We first came in March 2006 and unlike many website pictures, the room was even better than what we imagined.
The location is central yet so quiet and peaceful and the house has such a relaxing and homely feel to it.
Kate and Steve are the perfect hosts. There to chat to when you want or invisible when you want some private time.
My husband and I now visit on the same March weekend every year and have also added in extra trips to take family now that they have a added a large family room.
We have recommended this place to friends and family alike and they all have loved it as much as we have.
Huskisson B&B and is place we will continue to visit every year.
Its a family and dog friendly haven, which is also perfect for a quiet couples getaway.

The advertising about Husky B&B is delighfully straight - no pictures of the 'best room' that never seems to exist. The hosts are genuine people who know when to have a chat and when to leave you alone, and went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. Even the pets ae friendly, without over doing it.

The living area is comfortable, filled with beautiful art work, and adds to the restful environment. Plenty of books to read, mags to browse and games to play. The beds was very comfy, the room spacious and the bathroom (with it big bath) very roomy. No sense of trying to wash in a broom closet. All well laid out so you can choose whether you want to "engage" with other guests.

Great touches, such as suggested restaurants, the picture theatre guide, organised bookings for restaurants and for a highly skilled massage therapist. Fantastic and generous breakfast with local treats, such as the jam. Plush beach towels when we'd forgotten ours.

I can't say that I like 'stiff' and impersonal' hotels where you feel that you need permission to sit on the bed. This B&B felt like a home - with the added advantage of those personal touches. End result - a very relaxing break.

I don't go on to these websites and do reviews - but its time to share the secret! Enjoy ...
