“Completely awful”
Reviewed July 16, 2014

I took my family on a whale watching cruise from Kiama on Sunday 13 July. We were very excited, having read so many positive reviews, but I must caution any future potential customers to NOT rely on the company to give you advice about the experience if the conditions are not ideal. We were told the trip out would be rough, but thereafter it would be suitable for looking for whales. In fact, the trip out was VERY rough. We had children screaming in terror. The boat was airborne off every wave and landed with a hard thump over and over again. It was also wet and I was shaking with the cold. Once we became stationery, there was a lot of roll and swell, and from a near-full boatload of customers, only four people left their seats to look for whales. The rest of us sat there feeling sick, waiting for the whole, horrible experience to be over. I looked around the boat and everyone was just sitting looking miserable. We saw no whales, and no marine wildlife other than seagulls. Upon completion of the tour, no mention was made of the voucher I have since read about on the website. I wrote to the company and suggested in future they advise customers if they are going to have a vile and expensive boat trip, so that they can proceed with information and be informed before they take the risk of going out and having a horrible experience. I have received no reply, which is arrogant and rude.

“Whale watching and more”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

On Adventurer with Capt. Michael and Scott today....and what a day! Whales breaching, tail slapping, views we will never forget. This was certainly the highlight but by no means all it was. Some other interesting parts of Jervis Bay were explored with great commentary by Mike. Our daughter a little sea sick well taken care of by Deckie Scott. Highly recommend.

“Fantastic Experience!”
Reviewed July 2, 2014

We visited Jervis Bay area on the 2nd July for a school holiday day trip with our young daughters. We decided to go on a Whale Watching Cruise, since we are all interested in marine life. We had a fantastic time with Dolphin Wild Cruises! The staff were friendly and caring, and between the lady in the office and the staff on the boat we were really well looked after. We saw plenty of wildlife, including penguins, seals, lots of dolphin and two humpback whales, which was a truly awe-inspiring experience!

I would not hesitate to recommend this company, and will be bringing my family back for a second trip in the future.

“A special afternoon”

All staff were very helpful and friendly. While we didn't see any dolphins we lost count of the whales we saw. A fantastic experience enjoyed by our family group of a wide range of ages.
