“Best Place to Stay”
Reviewed August 8, 2014

My husband and I stayed at the Park Ridge Retreat for the third time this week and it is perfect in every way. From the moment you drive into the parking area the place is very impressive. Gardens are driveway are neat and tidy, the entry is beautifully decorated, and Moshe is always a delightful person to greet you and happy to make your stay perfect...in fact all the staff cannot do enough to help you. The rooms are very comfortable and clean being recently refurbished. We have stayed in places in the USA, England and Canada but the Park Ridge certainly is the best ....you will be treated with care and kindness and not just another customer. We will be back ASAP. Thank you staff you are all doing a great job.

Room Tip: All rooms are good. We have stayed in room 13 x 2 and 30.

We arrived after booking this one in booking .com which I don't recommend because they did not have our booking
We were greeted by a lovely lady who gave a choice of 2 rooms both big and comfortable looking very homey we went to the restaurant WOW we were not disappointed we it was Sunday night after school holidays and we had the restaurant to ourselves. It was beautiful food from the oysters and prawns to the scotch fillet it was cooked to perfection simply wonderful tasting food I was impressed they the staff were very friendly and welcoming mind you we were the only ones there at the time lol so it was properly that lol I would highly recommend this motel and defiantly dine in the restaurant it is quite reasonably priced as well. 4 **** from me and my hubby

Stayed one night for work and couldn't believe the excellent value for money of this motel. The staff (front desk and restaurant) were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me in unfortunate circumstances.

Thank you Moshe & Brian for helping to make our stay a very memorable one, from the first contact to the last, there was nothing but great service you, can be proud of what you deliver. Even though there were renovations going on Moshe made sure we were not inconvienienced. The room with bath was a generous size with great views, a very comfortable bed, all needs supplied and extra towels when requested. The cosy restaurant served fresh delicious food, generous servings and reasonably priced. Modern art and great wall colour enhance the decor. The location is excellent, close to all you may need. Highly recommended

Room Tip: Front or back views are great fron 2nd or 3rd floor, there are only stairs, east end is best

Basic rooms with all needs supplied. We stayed in a non-spa room. Grounds were very pretty and the restaurant was cosy with good food. Service from all staff was excellent. This accommodation is a short walk from a whale viewing platform - & we saw whales each time we visited the platform even though it was only May. It is also located just off the Main Street so it is quiet but close to everything you might need.

I have now stayed here a few times and am increasingly impressed. Excellent middle of the range motel with good, reasonably priced restaurant on site. Staff are friendly and efficient. Very welcoming. Thank you Moshe and staff. Toaster, crockery and cutlery supplied as well as kettle. Ongoing maintenance and upgrading means it is fresh.

Room Tip: All the rooms I have stayed in have been good, each with a balcony.

We have stayed here many times when it was the Anchor Inn. Not only a name change but apparently a change of owners - this little gem is having a makeover and what was always a great place to stay is now near perfection. Friendly and stylish - recommended.
