“Best in Deni - Super Comfy, Super Value, Top Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2014

We stayed two nights just prior to Easter. What a great stay.

This is a stand out location and handy to everything. It has the biggest garden anyone could hope for, that being the golf course itself. Just beautiful.

Everything was provided for. Crisp sheets & linen, kitchenette, immaculately presented, and very clean. A hearty cooked breakfast was provided each morning. The owners went out of their way to ensure that our stay was everything we could have hoped for. The kids had plenty of safe places to play, and we also had the enjoyment of relaxing by the pool.

There are a few accom choices in this town, but they are close to the through-roads & suffer from truck & traffic noise. Not where we were.... absolute tranquillity!

We were actually not playing golf, but instead visiting the area to catch up with friends and do a little boating. We decided to buy some furniture while there. The owner made some great suggestions on who best to get the transport arranged (thanks Neil). This place has a friendly family atmosphere and that sets it apart from the usual ho-hum motel offerings that are often found in regional towns.

This will be our definitely be our choice going forward. Thank you very much guys.

We'll be back!

We stayed here for the Deni Blues & Roots Music Festival. This accommodation is basic, simple and good value at $100 p.n. for 2 people. The "Resort" is a compound made up of demountable cabins (or Donga’s as they are known in the mining industry). "Nothin' Fancy", as they say. The cabins are placed in a circle around a pool and BBQarea. You can drive your car right up to your room from the circular gravel driveway. Our cabin opened on one side onto a lawn and golf course. Being with friends we could sit outside our rooms and enjoy the view of the golf course, and the occasional close encounter with a golf ball. We also BBQ'd breakfast in the pool area. Cabins are basic and old but very clean. Ours included a queen and a single bed with plenty of space to spread out. Beds are a bit on the soft-side but had new electric blankets and fresh bedding. There is a good fridge, sink, crockery, toaster, kettle, cutlery, etc in each room and the usual motel amenities. It would have been nice if the communal area had more utensils, hot water, etc. There is a communal TV over the communal sink which is probably a “bloke’s dream” , but makes the area noisy along with a couple of pinball machines probably a, "kid's dream".

Having a central pool and BBQ area was a little noisy until around 10 p.m., as was the gravel drive with arrivals and departures. However, this place was definitely a step up from camping at the festival and would suit golfers as it is right next to the Golf Links and Club. We were told (by an independent source) that the food at the Club is great but did not get a chance to try. This is a good place to stay with a group or anyone on a budget with a hankering for stepping straight out onto the golf course. There is a shortcut to town through a lovely bush-walk over the river. The shower was very good, air-con works but of course, being old, is noisy.

Trust this makes a good first review. p.s. I, (Mrs Fussy) would stay again but remember you get what you pay for! And in this case, quite good value.

Room Tip: Ask for a room opening onto the golf course and away from the pool if you want quiet.
