Not as pet friendly as other and nicer campgrounds. The pet loop is tiny; the larger part of the camp prohibits pets. The problem is that there are not enough signs so if you're walking around and new to the camp, you may not even realize you're out of a pet friendly zone. There literally is only one sign that I saw at the main entrance. The so-called "pet connector trail" isnt well labeled so it is easy to get off the trail and on the other trail and not even realize it.. then you end up coming out at the anti-pet zone. I say it this way because we mistakenly ended up in this situation not knowing where we were at because the signs suck.. instead of people trying to be helpful and kind, they are rude!!! I can tell they must be regulars and practically live here with their decorations and welcome mats (what a joke) but they are extremely rude! Instead of asking us if we were unsure of where we were at, they just rudely told us we couldn't have our dog there. Um sorry! We didnt know because the signs (or lack thereof) suck! People are rude and there are better campgrounds with nicer people that are more pet-friendly. Moral of the story: dont got here if you want to bring your dog. If you do, dont leave the tiny camp loop for pets. If you go on a trail or do anything on mistake, people will bite your head off!

Spent a week in a 38-foot travel trailer. Only one loop with full hook ups with a tight right turn but we managed to wiggle our way in. Spots are wide and wooded in the back. Some trees had been felled since the online photos. It was a rainy week and the entire perimeter of the park is swamplands so be prepared for water. Nice little beach in the campground, plus a short walk to the Linesville marina (bait shop) and beach. Short drive to the abandoned Tuttle Point, famous spillway, and other marinas. Great fishing. Only grocery store is a mom-n-pop in town which is slightly overpriced except for fresh meats. 15 miles to Meadville and Conneaut if you want more to do. Peaceful and relaxing.
