“Great venue”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

I went there on weekday for lunch and it was quiet which meant we had fast service and a peaceful lunch. The food was very tasty and the venue was nicely decorated. Even though there were only 3 of us for lunch the venue is large enough to cater for large groups.
All the food was tasty so we will definitely go back.

“Nice place to eat as long as it is not busy”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

I have been here a few times for both work and social functions. Lunch or dinner, the food is very good (and REALLY big portions if you order the ribs)

Service can be slow (or even none existent) when it is busy. When it is quite, the service is excellent and I can only attribute this to the fact that they do not have enough staff to cover when it's busy.

Outside on the deck is pleasant on a mild afternoon or in spring - it is downright hot in summer. Go for the inside when it's hot.

It has interesting decor - obviously the designer or the owner has a timber fetish ! but it suits the atmosphere.

Drinks are not overpriced and overall a good location to eat and its LOCAL !

“Tasteless, overpriced food and slow service. Not recommended.”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

I made the unfortunate decision to take friends out to dinner here. The service was slow and inattentive but the food itself was an abomination. At almost $40 a piece, two of us had steaks and the other two ribs. All four came with a side of baby potatoes fit for an imp. The steak, which was meant to be "bursting with flavour" was about as flavourful as the sole of a shoe. I didn't purchase sauce thinking I would enjoy the steak as is but in retrospect covering the thing in a cheap sauce may have been the only way to redeem it. There was a look of disappointment from the rib folk who also made the mistake of not purchasing sauce and were left with a plate of dry bones without so much as a sprinkle of seasoning. Where in the world can you eat ribs and leave with a sparkling clean "rib bib"? We have a winner!

We also ordered a table salad which was (the only thing) nicely done and a side of onion rings which were not. Two of us ordered dessert which seemed like generic frozen chocolate cake accompanied by (with additional charge) a scoop of watery ice cream.

To top the night off be prepared to be handed a generous bill and leave feeling thoroughly ripped off and embarrassed for choosing such an establishment. There may not be too many dining choices in the Campbelltown area but there are certainly better options than Ribs and Rumps. Not recommended.

“Meat Lovers Heaven”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

If you like your meat & prepared to pay for it here is your place. Around $40 + for huge servings of ribs & you guessed it rump, with surprise!!!! Fries. Plenty of other meat dishes involving steak, chips, burgers ect. Nothing to excite if you are a non red meat fanatic. My family of males enjoyed it but I could think of better ways to eat through $220 for 4 mains (1 being vegetarian pasta) & 6 drinks.
