this was an interesting stay with Quest, for a reputable chain i was quite disgusted with the service provided during and after our stay.
We traveled down from QLD to NSW and booked through WOTIF, no dramas, great communication and assistance from "Josh" on the front desk who helped with our late check in and extra night accommodation at such short notice. Polite friendly and accommodating, lovely. The rooms were spacious, and consisted of a full kitchen, and the hotel was located close to train stations, buses, food outlets and petrol stations. the rooms were basically clean, depending on your expectations of clean.
Customer service from general employees and especially management upon check out and there after was a disgrace to Quest and this particular hotel. The chipboard kitchen doors were all loose, one had come off upon opening and was reported straight away to reception along with the rest that were "loose" and needed attention. There was no discussion or fixing of these items during our stay. Upon check out nothing was mentioned and checked out without problems. 2 weeks later we had no recieved our $200 security bond back , when we contacted the hotel we were rudely spoken to and told we would not be getting our money back as a door had come off the kitchen and they needed to replace the screws so they retained our $200!!!! for two screws! MY GOD! With lack of explanation, none of our questions acknowledged or answered, been hung up on by a manager may i add, we were a little less than impressed. We are still waiting for answers as to why it took 2 weeks for them to inform us of the situation, to show evidence or invoices for these $200 screws, the policies or procedures for retaining a bond and the circumstances surrounding the reasoning for keeping it. Management are yet to respond still 18 days after we stayed at the hotel and still have our $200 with a very very petty reason that was reported to the reception when it happened. Not impressed at all, would not recommend this hotel to anyone for any reason, i would rather sleep in my car than deal with such incompetent, rude and unprofessional staff. This would have to be the worse place i have ever stayed at! Sorry but the only good thing was the young man who i dealt with over the phone upon checking in! atleast there was ONE person with some common sense. I would also not recommend this hotel for people with young children. Good Luck!
