This was our first trip to Byron Bay and I would certainly stay here again. If you want comfort, value for money and a good location, this is the place to be. Whilst it is a 10-15 minute walk to the "main strip", Dolphins is conveniently located for a reasonable price.

We found this motel well-located for the price - it is a kilometre or so from the centre of town but an easy flat walk. The room was spacious and clean, with a larger (half-size) fridge than most motels and a microwave. Bathroom was also quite roomy. Only complaint was that the queensize bed was a little too soft for our liking, but overall a pleasant place to stay.

Great value for money. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of my room. It was spotlessly clean, and had a little kitchette which was very handy. The owner was charming, welcoming and helpful. I think that this would be great accomodation for elderly or disabled guests, as well as couples or small families.

Chose this motel for price and because the rooms looked nice and modern on their website. It was all as described and very comfortable. The room was really big which was good because we had a lot of luggage and it had a kitchenette with all the facilities including electric frypan. The car spot was shaded by palms and the whole motel area looked nice even with a grassy spot with picnic tables. It was not near the town centre but this made it quiet and u could still walk if need be, about 15min.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room is a little dated but spotlessly clean. It had a table and chairs for eating. They also provided outdoor furniture if you wanted to sit outside.

There was a microwave, fridge and kettle and cutlery.

It's about a 10 - 15 min easy walk into town and the beach.

There is a really nice cafe next door called Mac's.

Room Tip: Try not to get room 1 closest to the road. A bit of traffic noise in the morning.

We stayed at Dolphins overnight en route to Surfers Paradise.. Clean large sized room and bathroom.. very friendly reception staff.. Check in and checkout were no problem at all.. A little bit out of the way, but we were happy to walk into town for dinner..

We stayed only one night at Dolphins but were impressed with the room size and the total presentation. Really clean and well set up.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.I was also surprised to see their free dvd service. Their WiFi was free and easily accessed (not laways the case). It was also good value. We were a couple with one 14 year old and the room exceeded our expectations. It is pretty close to the Byron shops and has a convenient modern take away shop just next door.

Room Tip: The higher room numbers are further from the road
