“Bed bugs”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

Got a cute little cabin. Small but functional. Cutlery could be updated though. Great location and friendly staff. However my friend and I left with bed bug bites. That kind of cancels or all positives...

This couldn't be considered 5 Star accommodation, but Glen Villa doesn't sell itself as such. What you do get are very clean, tidy and relatively quiet (excluding the air-conditioning) self contained apartments.

Our cabin was simple, but had everything we needed. Comfy bed, kitchen area, dining area and a shower room. We had a private drive/carport and a terrace to the back.

Location is excellent, with it only being a few minutes walk to the shops and another couple to the beach. The location is super quiet, with only guests allowed on site.

I can't vouch for the camp site, but the cabins are great value for money. I would definitely stay here again.

I'd recommend the 24 hour bakery around the corner, fantastic cakes and bread. If anyone stayed in these cabins and found a huge carrot cake in the microwave, that was mine. Forgot I'd put it there for safe keeping - gutted on the drive north without it!

Room Tip: The cabins on your right as you come in the main gate have patio doors facing the grass and woods ou...

We stayed here for two nights whilst on a tour up the east coast. It happened to be the 30th and 31st December, so it was packed full. Byron bay is such an amazing place, and Glen Villa resort makes it that little bit better.

We stayed in a one bedroomed cabin, shared between 3 of us. There was a double bed in the bedroom and two further single beds in the main room. There was a bathroom with decent shower, the kitchen was clean, large and well equipped. The air conditioning unit was very good for the size of it. Yes the decor is outdated - like something you would see in the 80's, but it is decor and nothing that can ruin your stay!

The communal washing machines and tumble dryers were some of the best I have ever experienced (as far as communal washers are concerned) - the location perfect, the reception staff true gems.

I wouldn't look anywhere else if I came to Byron bay again - Glen Villa Resort all the way!

We arrived into Byron with nothing booked but were told to go to Glen Villa Resort as they had a cabin left. When we got there the loveliest girl helped us and showed us a cabin and a tent. The cost for the cabin was APPALLING and really they should be ashamed of selling such a dated place for $300 a night! The tent accom was $80 for the night which included 2 blankets and 2 pillows with a set of sheets. That was okay i guess but really shocked me was the state of the showers/toilets in the camping area, the showers were filthy and the cold tap was broken. Then you turn around in the shower to read PLEASE LIMIT YOUR SHOWER TO 3 MIN PLEASE....

Really for the price i was not impressed at all and will definitely not stay here again....

About 5 minutes walk from the center city of Byron Bay that camping site with also many rental cabins was quite a nice surprise for us. The cabin was very clean and well equiped, with a small balcony. The site is also clean and quiet. Dont hesitate for a few nights. Near from downtown, you can easily walk to a grocery store, a bottle shop and a lots of restaurants and cafes. As for the beach, it is a little further, because the site is at the opposite site; but lets say about 15 to 20 minutes walk. There is also a small pool on the site.
