Friendly door staff (very rare these days). Very fairly priced drinks for the area and brilliant live entertainment every day, all made even better with free entry! I would definitely recommend at least one night at The Beach Hotel!

Went to see the live bands on a Friday night most of which were great especially Tourism. Staff are friendly but beware of high prices and I must say the security at this place is a joke!.... Few lads having a bit of fun in the corner and security come over and grab them by the throat and throw them out, no explanation and surely this could have been dealt with in a calmer manner with all the other people around. Patrons that were around and saw what happened got up and left which was good to see. Management really needs to calm down the security who seem to think they rule the place.

Decided to catch up with family and decided to meet at the Beach Hotel. Mid afternoon and the place is packed, OK, Christmas Holidays. A Local 3 piece band is playing, the Volume up at Max.
Ordered 1 beer, 1 wine, 1 Lemonade , and 1 Soda, $23.00.
Left after 20 minutes.

Drinks we're pretty normal price.
Chips were good and good value but meals were pretty expensive.
Great location for a drink at lunchtime.
Didn't stay at the hotel but the restaurant was pretty decent.
Open mic night was pretty average but the house band was pretty good.

Had the worst food today for lunch. How can they charge so much for such rubbish. The food was not visually appetising. The S&P squid was dry & rubbery. The wedges came out of a frozen packet. The pork sliders were dry tasteless with a cardboard bun for $16. Definitely won't be dining there again, since there are so many other restaurants in Byron who have respect for good produce & service.

This place has a great location but poor service and poor food! Very over priced for the basic food you get! And they have a surcharge on Sundays! (Price your food and wages better!) in summary don't wast your time ratting here go somewhere nice! (No chips with S&P squid, $16 hot dog was disgusting!)

Security are treasures, the beer garden is relaxed and spacious with views of the ocean, there are a minimum of two bars to choose from (on Melbourne Cup day there were three), and the DJs spin some mean beats. Good stuff at the Beachy!
