“Fantastic all round. Near faultless.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2014

I absolutely loved this place. It's 4 apartments in what is like a compound but it feels very private.

The room itself (April Sun) was lovely. Immaculately presented and well decorated. It's more of a couples location but I was with a friend so we used the pull out bed which was surprisingly comfortable!

There is a private pool for the apartments which is well maintained and has a jacuzzi feature. This pool area is a sun trap and with the fencing around the apartments blocking out the wind it makes the area all the more hot. In this area there is also a barbecue for guests use. One improvement would be if there was a BBQ in each apartment area as you can't take glass into the pool area and have to try and make it so all food is available at the same time so you can eat in your apartment area.

The location is fantastic. Out of the back gate and over some disused railway tracks is the beach with soft white sand. It's about 20m away and font be out off by the tracks.

The town is also a short walk away and will take no more than 5-10 minutes depending on eh uh part you go to.

I will definitely return to Byron and it's without doubt I will make sure I stay here again. Whilst it's more of a romantic location it's also fine for friends and I struggle to find fault.

We thoroughly enjoyed our six night stay at Cavvanbah. The property is perfectly located - the beach is practically at your doorstep and the town is only a 5 minute walk away. The property is bright and clean and the outdoor pool always seemed to be free, so everyday it felt as if we had the pool to ourselves! The owner, Tarek, was lovely and professional. I accidentally left some belongings after my stay and he kindly called me that day to let me know. Truly recommend staying at Cavvanbah.

We loved our stay here. Well equipped (seriously, there is everything!) and spacious for what is a studio apartment. Even had a relaxing deck with an outdoor bath. The doors into the studio open up completely and with fly screens you can sit in bed with the doors open and look at the stars. No air con so being able to open the doors without letting in bugs and Mosquitos was a great compromise. Bed was great. No complaints at all. Bathroom was spacious with a window and fan. Small bar fridge meant we could buy drinks and food to eat during the day. It is probably a 1.5km walk to town. Easy and safe walk. Thanks to Cavvanbah for an enjoyable stay.

I have just returned from three nights at this gorgeous property, loved everything about it, such a peaceful haven in a perfect part of Byron, right on the best beach, so close to the town but in a quiet location. Everything is beautiful, the pool is simply gorgeous, so lovely to lie on the sun loungers or in the water soaking up the sun that faces the pool all day long. Loved the secure access to the beach, so nice to be so close but to have the privacy of Cavvanbah as a refuge. The rooms are very well appointed, everything you need, sleek and modern, even the toiletries are gorgeous. Also loved the self check in, added to the sense of privacy, Tarek was always available if needed but left you in peace to relax and enjoy the facilities. I will definitely be back!

Room Tip: I stayed in Gypsy which I loved, right by the pool, but all the rooms look great and are private.

This place has a nice feel, clean and well located. The owner or manager Tarek is very nice and helpful and didn't take offence to the fact that we found the bed was too hard for us to get a comfortable night sleep. I realise that we're all different and some people like a very firm bed. To us a good B&B must at the very least provide a comfortable good nights sleep and we certainly didn't get that. However, I am sure many people are fine with it, which accounts for the good reviews. The pool and complex itself are very nice.

Thank you for your review. I am glad you appreciated the quality of our Villas and the location and I am sorry for your disappointment with our beds.

We spent considerable time researching our beds as we agree that a comfortable nights sleep is fundamental. We think we have got it right for the majority. I personally bought a mattress for my self and tested it for a week prior to ordering the remainder for Cavvanbah.

The mattresses we choose are 30 cm deep with a quilted soft top for extra comfort. The fabric is made from bamboo which promotes breathability and thermal regulation as well as being moisture absorbent and anti bacterial. The Rayon from the Bamboo keeps you warm in winters and cool in summer. It is also a sustainable fiber.

We are regularly praised for the comfort of our beds however we are sorry that they did not suit you.

An architectural delight with all the modern comforts you can expect (and I mean ALL) literally a sand dune removed from the sea and 5min walk from Byron central...what more could you want for. The best feature is definitely the very private outdoor bath and shower, ideal for star gazing with a glass of your favourite drink, or like we did, in a torrential down pour. The owner is very customer focused and quickly and effectively provided us with everything we needed, from organizing professional massages that come to you to advice on where to eat. The property is very well maintained and ticked every box for us. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Four units available, all very well equipped and private. Yarrawarra is definitely the pick as it is...

Recently our family went to Bryon Bay for a wedding and stayed at Cavvanbah, WOW what a spectacular complex. We booked all 4 apartments and as I was paying, I spent a lot of time surfing the internet to find a good value, up market property. The property looked exceptional on their very good website, but our stay still exceeded all expectations. Our kids are actually adults with partners. All of us were in awe of the gardens, fantastic pool, and the incredible quality of the sheets, white goods and appliances. The position is unbeatable not to close to the hustle and bustle of Byron Bay, but only a few minutes’ walk away. The beach is basically at your back door with no roads to cross. To Terak, thanks for your help, we all had a fantastic time at your beautiful apartments.
