Rooms are small but thats a good thing, means you dont really share with anymore than three other people. The apartments to the rear of the bunks are a little more expensive per night but you then get your own fridge and cooking facilties which can be a good thing as the kitchen gets busy like any hostel. Staff seemed ok with us although we did over hear someone else being spoken to out of turn which we didnt think was very nice especially in front of other guests. Facilties are clean and in good working order and pool is ok too. Very lively hostel with a good crowd. Great atmosphere.

Room Tip: Use the showers on the left hand side of the building (looking towards the pool) they are less tempe...

By far the best hostel I stayed while traveling the East Coast of Australia. Very clean and super friendly, offering great experiences any day of the week. Byron is the biggest gem I encountered in Australia and this hostel offered the opportunity to enjoy every aspect of this beautiful place. With complimentary surf board rentals, bike hire, wifi and even sunrise adventures, there was never a dull moment in Byron. Great ownership from a fantastic local family, along with a fantastic group of staff made this the best hostel in Australia. Located in the centre of town there is no place else to stay in Byron bay. Make sure you have a couple days at least because this gem of a hostel will provide everything you need, and a guaranteed extended stay. Thanks to the Village for all the fun.

Staff were friendly and helpful, good atmosphere, free wifi in reception (although this is switched off overnight). Double room was in an apartment, sharing bathroom/kitchen/living room with a 4 bed dorm room. Kitchen had a freezer which was a bonus (although only get crockery if you pay a deposit). Bathroom potentially shared between 6 but wasn't a problem and have access to communal bathrooms also. Central courtyard very sociable in the evenings, with everyone sitting together on long tables - staff clear the area at 10.30 sharp though so you can also get a good night's sleep if needed! Great location 10 min walk to the beach, 5 to bus stop and supermarket. Best hostel I stayed in by far.

Room Tip: For dorm beds ask for the apartment side, few pounds more and get apartment facilities.

went to stay two nights, stayed three weeks and made life long friends. best staff period. There's always something going on, with deals and vip nights at local bars. Staff greets everyone with cheers of 'new friends!' then follows through helping you meet people and giving great advice for places to visit. Morning sunrise tours and nightly trips out. Great backpacker experience.

Room Tip: Having an apartment is awesome, the extra cost is worth your own bathroom, tv, fridge, and stove. Ov...

This hostel is amazing, we supposed to stay for 1 week but ended up in 3 weeks. The rooms are clean and fresh and so are the toilets and the kitchen is big, fresh and have a lot of pans and pots! The staff is amazing, everyone is so kind, helpful and friendly. The best thing is that every night everyone sits around the table outside and play games and just have a good time together. The location is also very good, just 5-10 min walk to the beach. If you want a really good time in Byron Bay, stay at Holiday Village!

This is one of the best places I stayed in during my 6 week holiday touring oz. There was free pick up from the bus stop, we had a 3 bed private room which was clean, spacious and well air conditioned! The bathrooms were across the yard, about 20 feet away! Would definitely go back here again. Internet was free but it was cut off at 9pm when reception closed every night, very annoying. Could not get Internet in room even though we were very close to reception. Overall all our stay here was brilliant

I was staying at Holiday Village for two weeks. Will have to say, it was my favorite place to staying on the east coast. It all starts with the staff. Its family runned, and got to know the staff members very well. Very helpful and easy going. If I had any problems or questions, had full attention to help. Once I checked out I could feel that I was part of the Holiday Village family.

Every week Holiday village throws on a all you can eat BBQ for 10$ Awesome food, was so full could hardly drink after to head out on the town.
