Bayshore Bungalows
Ranked #15 of 35 Byron Bay B&B and Inns
Reviewed April 4, 2013

We just spent 5 nights over the Easter long weekend at the Bayshore Bungalows & cannot recommend it highly enough.
Our purpose for being in Byron during that time was for the amazing Bluesfest & staying Bayshore Bungalows during that time couldn't have been better.
We were two couples sharing a Deluxe bungalow - number 12. We had everything that we could possibly want ; a well equipped kitchen , comfortable spacious lounge area, peaceful, restful bedrooms & an on site laundry!
Lovely gardens , great pool & convenient parking.
Although not located directly in Byron itself the bungalows are within a very short drive to town.
Theres a great little shopping complex close by so there's really no need to go into Byron if you don't feel the need.
We will definitely be returning for Bluesfest next year & will definitely be staying at Bayshore Bungalows!
Thank you Bayshore Bungalows for an unforgettable stay!

We were caught up in the 2013 floods in murwillumbah for a wedding and we were continuing an extended vacation to byron bay we were a day short of reaching the bungalows due to the weather and once we arrived there had been a storm which meant no power not 24 hours! The manager penny was very empathetic and accommodated our needs extremely well. Our stay was extended 2 nights and once the power was on the bungalows were the paradise we were waiting for. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Stayed here for a week and found it a great place to chill out. Our two bedroom deluxe bungalow was a delight - bright and spacious with a superb kitchen. The furnishings were tasteful and the bungalow was spotless. The grounds were immaculate and it was wonderful to wake up to the birdsong and have breakfast outside.
The beach was a short walk away but it was covered with lots of flotsam and jetsam, and so not a place to enjoy a swim but a fascinating place to observe the variety of birds and wild life.
We loved the fact you could explore the surrounding area and then return to this haven of tranquility.
The reception staff were not only welcoming but incredibly helpful throughout our stay.

I agree with all of the below. I would say the kitchen is an odd design. Not a very user friendly space. They have tried to give give you a full kitchen. It looks nice but practically is a difficult space to use.
I would have also liked some more personal information about the surrounding area. There is the Byron Bay Book which is a commerical production for the whole region but has little detail about the immediate area. Tide times would have been great. Internet access is patchy and drops out alot so looking up things on the net is a pain. Tried the office several times in opeing hours but was locked with advice to call a telepohone number. Not very convenient.
A dust pan and brush to brush up the sand would have also been handy.

Great place to stay with wonderful amenities. We stayed for a week with our toddler son and found it great. Bungalows are beautiful and the amenities were brilliant. Was wonderful and quiet location away from Byron hustle and bustle. It's about a 5 minute drive into town so would need a car. Supermarket is only a 5 minute walk up the road along with the beach. Only downside is you have to pay if you want your room cleaned in your stay. Will definitely stay again if we go back to Byron.

Loved it. When it came to booking a place in Byron it was confusing, given location vs quality vs somwhere quiet, but from reading some of the reviews Bayshore Bungalows seemed to tick all the boxes. And it really did, we couldnt be happier with our stay.

Unfortunately it rain most of the weekend but we were given good tips on where to go, where to eat, and this was really helpful.

The beauty of the property is the isolation from the main part of town and how stunningly peaceful the surroundings are, with such a short walk to the beach.

The property itself is furnished really well, and you couldnt ask for more with everything you need in your room.

We wouldnt hesitate in staying here again and will be back soon!

I used to live in Byron Bay for many years and I can honestly say that this is one of, if not the, best accommodation options in Byron. Recently opened, I was excited to find this accommodation option for my last re-visit to this beautiful part of the world.

Bayshore Bungalows has managed to capture the spirit of the bay perfectly, it's is a delightful property with airy designer bungalows with all the mod cons without loosing the beach feel . It's one of those hotels you kind of wished you lived in. The reception staff was wonderful throughout my stay.
The Bayshore Bungalows are located away from the main hustle of the central Byron which makes it even more attractive, surrounded by a lush gardens the peace and quiet is very soothing. The beach is a 5 min walk away and you rarely see a crowd here, no lifeguards around so just be a bit careful with the rips when swimming. The local IGA is also just 5 min away and the arts & industrial estate 5-10 min walk perfect if you want to try some yoga at the Red Tent , learn circus art or get some Byron Bay cookies at discount prices. Also some great shopping and art galleries around. To get into town, it's well worth renting a bicycle from one of the local bike shops as it will take you around 10-15 min to bike into the centre and beats being stuck in summer traffic for 40min to travel 3km and then having to find a car park plus biking is better for you and the environment anyway:-) ( at the time of my stay no bicycle rentals was offered by Bayshore bungalows - hopefully they add that to their range of services to make it even better). There's also the local bus option or a brisk 40-50min walk.

I stayed in a studio loft Bungalow and the design is modern, bright and beautiful and the kitchen well equipped. The pool area is splendid and the tennis court nice as well. Overall a superb option if you're after that laid back beach atmosphere that made Byron famous in the fist place.
