“Good food,good views and peaceful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

Most people would think of a restaurant at a golf club is not the place to eat,how wrong would you be.The Deck has amazing views over one of Australias top golf courses. It is a locals hang out as the food is excellent, the drinks at club prices ,plenty of parking and it is out of the noise and craziness of Byron Bay CBD.Get their before sunset and have a quiet one out on the grass or on the huge timber deck set above the Golf Course.I eat here at least once a month and would recommend this place to anyone.

“could be much better”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

Will NOT be returning here. We ended up leaving with happy stomachs but not feeling very welcome. The man working was blunt and rude to my partner and I. Feel very sorry for the waitresses. The food was yummy so that's a plus and the view was great.

In response to this i would like to offer my deepest apologies to the couple in question. As I was off sick on this evening it would appear that the man who was rude actually does not represent "the Deck at Byron" He is part of the managment of the golf club. To my disgust I became aware of this evenings events from other customers and my staff the following day.
I would just like to add that we take great pride in all aspects of our business with focus on customer satisfaction and hope the couple will read this and give the deck a second chance. The deck is a seperate business to the golf club and there was no reason for the golf clubs mangment to be involved. Again please accept my apologies.

“Fine dining experience in Byron”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013

Food was pricy but well worth it for a special night out.
We shared the seafood for 2 which was around $80 and the pork fillet which was lovely. Only disappointment was that the restauarnt's fish of the day was farmed Barramundi which tasted a little muddy. A restaurant of this quality we thought would have wild barramundi on it's menu. other than that the rest of the seafood was superb.

“Great food, good atmosphere, cheap drinks, and incredible outlook”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2012

This place is unknown amongst tourists as it is a bit out of town. The restaurant is called The Deck as It overlooks the Golf Course and at night the ponds below are lit up and a few trees along the course. It also overlooks towards the Lighthouse so you get to watch the light spin around at night. The deck has lots of weddings and do's so best to check if it is booked out. But the food is top quality and at club prices. The great thing also is that the drinks are at club prices. Good for the littlies as they can run around outside in a grassy area for lunch and evenings.

“Modern fresh Global food at great value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2012

Overlooking the manicured evergreen landscape, the Deck has established a genuine and honest reputation as one of the local's favourite, a fresh and wide selection of food (seafood emphasis) at great value (for Byron!), family friendly and unpretentious.
