Unfortunately the music wasn't to our taste on the night we visited. Bit too loud for my liking, although I did stop and listen to a very good rock and roll band playing there a couple of days earlier.
The food was very good and the beer reasonably priced. It is a very relaxed place with long tables to share.

I would certainly return but would check the band out first.

Have to stop at the Railway whenever in Byron as met my husband there in 1985 while a backpacker! The beer is always icy cold, the atmosphere welcoming and is a trip down memory lane. Didn't eat there this time, will have to next trip!

Great place for a few daytime beers when trainspotting usually about one a day..As for the bangers and mash the basil dressing and potato mash was excellent but the sausages are suspect. Some good stories of the Aussie Vietnam Veterans who drink there but their sense of humor some times get the better of them, usually found there hiding from their wives

love the live music but hate the tendency to drunkenness of some of the patrons. Historically, I have a tender spot for this bar. Wish it still had trains pulling up though. Its a pub experience. fun but not intimate.
