If you tire of over casual, dated decor and near enough is good enough attitude then try St. Elmo. Lets face it with few options for waterfront dining at Bryon most of the back streets are filled with eateries and bars. And many offer similar fare. St Elmos seems relatively new. The open but undercover venue offers bar or table service. The ambiance is splendid. We sat at the bar and had several cocktails, well crafted and with an unusual mix of ingredients. The tapa selection albeit small offered a range of portion sizes and tastes. Bar staff were attentive without being intrusive and the background music delivered atmosphere without trying to be the atmosphere. A great way to spend an evening.
