“Excellent food and wine”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

We love this place! The tapas menu was varied with lots of options for all different tastes. We have eaten at many different tapas restaurants and this was one of the best! They also had a great selection of Spanish wines. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the best part was that even though it was really busy you didn't have to wait for the food to come out. Everything was delicious, the atmosphere was great and we will definitely being going back.

“Great atmosphere and service average food”
Reviewed May 2, 2013 via mobile

My fiancé and I checked out st Elmore due to good reviews on trip advisor and I will say we only tried 4 of the huge selection of tapas available. So my review us based on those dishes.

I really wish I could write that the overall was a 5 as upon entering we were looked after fantastically by both our waitresses.
But for the price the food was ok but compared to other tapas places we have been to ( and we both love tapas ) the food was a bit of a let down.
Sizes are perfect for tapas and we were full after 4 plates but just found the purées a little too sweet and the chorizo a little dry and the cabbage salad didn't have the balance right with the grapefruit but after asking for some lemon it tasted great. The beef cheeks were beautiful but again that purée was nice but a little bit sweet.
For just over $70 ( $120 with the bottle of wine ) I feel it was a little expensive for what we ate.
All in all it was a nice place to eat and I would give it another try as there is a lot on the menu. Just personally feel that the dishes are a little bit expensive but understand being in Byron so would the rent for these guys.

“Tapas well done”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

Cocktails to start are yum and great Tapas to follow. We had some specials and some regular popular dishes. I saw some reviews for here that talk about it being expensive and small serves. Guess what tapas stands for? Small dishes or snacks so if you go to a Tapas bar that's what you will get. Chicken parmas are at the pub and are probably cheap too. But if you want some great quality food then St Elmo delivers. And it really isn't too expensive. Great meal out.

“Spanish with a twist”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

we were so impressed with the quality of the food that we went twice in one week.
Spanish tapas using fresh local products, friendly service and a nice bar with some good wines.
Great for a quick cocktail or dinner.
This resturant's food could stand up in Sydney or Melbourne.
I would recommend getting there early if you don't have a reservation as the place is always full.
