“Meh - wouldn't come back in a rush”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

Will start with the positives. Friendly staff, decent sized apartments, modern furniture and fittings, central location, good parking facilities.

Other than that though it's just ok. Nothing special though. Certainly wouldn't pay the money to stay here again. The 1 bedroom has a court yard - no idea what anyone would do in it - certainly not sit out in it... Guess I feel it kind of defeats the purpose staying at an apartment in Byron that has no balcony. Plenty of other nice similarly priced places to stay that do so next time i would stay in one of those.

Couches in lounge room whilst modern weren't very comfortable, and the dining table is against the wall so not exactly practical for a romantic dinner... Also, bathroom looks nice but drains need a clean as when you turn the shower on the drains are really smell.

Oh and if your coming after hours enjoy the 'instructions' they leave you - was a bit like playing a game of riddles. Ha.

Overall, an average apartment with a reasonably upmarket price point which doesn't really justify what you get for it.

Dear Guest

Thanks for the positive comments on our staff and facilities and also the constructive feedback regarding the after hours check-in, we have taken this on board immediately and have developed a short video instruction which we hope will alleviate any confusion (or solve the riddle), we will email this to guests that arrive afterhours). We will also address the instructions from the car park and the drainage smell that you have now highlighted.

The unit that you occupied was a ground floor unit which is suited for those wanting a quieter room in the very centre of town, our 1st and 2nd floor units offer balconies that open up and overlook Byron or Fletcher streets or internally over our pool.

We were slightly confused by the feedback regarding pricing as we see that you had stayed with us using a discount voucher, which offered fantastic value?

Best Regards,

Alan Junor

Great spot to stay! Really central, free parking, small but nice pool area, lovely staff and sunny balcony. Stayed in studio deluxe room and was great value for money. A little bit of noise from drunken revellers but otherwise no complaints. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

The position of these apartments is perfect for parking your car in the basement for the whole weekend and walk everywhere. By and large the room we got was very comfortable, King size bed excellent. Disappointed that the room was not serviced (unless you pay extra), I think the cost should have it included.
We had a front apartment which we found quite noisy in the morning with traffic (particularly a rubbish truck at exactly 7.30am both mornings).
On a positive note there is 2 coffee shops across the road (mornings) and an excellent cocktail bar on the ground floor of the building (evenings).
Would I stay again? YES easy.

Room Tip: Next time I would choose a quieter room away from the road

Dear Guest

Thank you for your feedback from your recent stay at Apartments Inn Byron.

Our location is perfect for a weekend in Byron, as you say, Park the car & walk to everything that Byron has to offer, the amazing beaches, cafes, shops, restaurants & Bars. Of course being located in the centre of Byron we do occasionally experience background city centre noise that is out of our control. When you book your next stay I would suggest requesting an internal facing room.

Guests do receive a complimentary service when staying 5 or more night’s midway through the stay, as you state additional services are available at an additional cost.

Once again thanks for your feedback, we look forward to your next visit to Apartments Inn Byron.

Kind Regards,

Alan Junor

Stayed two nights last weekend. We had a family party to attend (both my sisters live in Byron) and due to the number of people needing a place to crash for the night (therefore, the free beds were all going to be claimed!) and because we'd got a special deal on Spreets, we stayed at Apartments Inn.
The location is great and our spacious studio room was comfortable, very quiet and clean. We had no view (other than a little courtyard) however it was just a bed for the nights. Our king bed might have been considered a little firm by others, but I like a firm bed. We appreciated the bathroom with its choice of roomy shower or jacuzzi bath. The safe was a nice touch, although I would have felt the room was secure enough anyway.
The best thing was that it was so quiet and dark in the mornings (with the curtains drawn) that we managed a sleep in til about 8.00. Not bad for sunny Spring mornings in busy Byron.

Byron is not exactly cheap unless you are happy to do the Backpacker thing. Have stayed in cheaper places before & felt like they were cheaper places but Apartments Inn had a great feel & was located perfectly for a walk to just about anything.

The shower didn't get real hot but the king size bed, well equipped kitchen, local mini bar products & more were excellent.

On Sunday avo we enjoyed sitting in our courtyard listening to the live music from St Elmo bar which opens onto the pool area.

My partner and I stayed in a lovely modern studio room in June 2012 for 2 nights. The room was very spacious, it could probably benefit from a small sofa under the window instead of an armchair due to the amount of space available, just to balance things out. There is very little room to place toiletries on the bathroom sink. The room received very little natural sunlight. The bathtub had about 3 small hairs in it, but everything else was spotlessless clean and neat. None of this really bothered us too much as the staff on reception are lovely, and you can't beat the location and we had a really good nights sleep and hear no noise outside. The complimentary tea and coffee came with two mini byron bay biscuits which was a nice touch, yummo! You can park your car in the grocery shop carpark underneath and get the lift upstairs. Grab a parking voucher to exit the carpark without paying or get your entry ticket validated at reception.

Have just returned from 2 nights at the Apartments Inn, Byron Bay. I will certainly return here. Being a regular travellor to Byron, this accommodation has it all....2 minute walk to the beach, modern and new rooms, right in the heart of town whilst in a quiet location.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: A tip would be do not goto the local pizzeria which resides on the corner, purely because of their p...

Thank you for your review.

I was delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay; our modern rooms have an amazing location right in the heart of town with complimentary underground parking. We look forward to your next stay, please be sure to book direct, we love to look after return guests with a slightly discounted rate when we can.

Our friends at Earth & Sea Pizza make amazing gourmet pizzas, however they are slightly more expensive than a budget style brand.
