The music made this little venue good rather than average.

Enjoyed a late Sunday morning breakfast at Mokha during a weekend stay in Byron. The cafe is cozy but comfortable. The service was excellent starting with a very warm welcome from the waitress.

We were offered water immediately and our coffee order was taken straight away. It came out within minutes despite a reasonably full cafe.

The food - excellent. I enjoyed the breakfast tapas which included very fresh and yummy smoked salmon - plenty of it, a beautiful feta, fresh spinach, stacks of avocado and a perfectly cooked poached egg. The best part was the excellent wholemeal sourdough bread which I was told comes from Sol. Great to see a cafe not skimping on good quality produce - it pays off. You can just tell.

Hubby enjoyed the big breakfast and he is still raving about the flavour of the home made baked beans.

We walked passed the cafe the night before and noticed how great the meals looked. They have a good mix of indoor and outdoor - but undercover - tables and they are in a very central location. Great if you love to people watch. We also noticed at night they had live music playing just outside the cafe so it looked like a great atmosphere.

Will definitely eat hear again on the next visit to Byron.

Had breakfast and dinner at Mokha during a recent weekend stay in Byron. The scrambled eggs with feta and spinach were delicious at breakfast and the Seafood Paella for dinner was the best I've tasted anywhere in the world! The wine list is comprehensive with quality wines from Australia and NZ and you can also BYO. Highly recommend a visit.

While in QLD on holiday for 3 weeks, we decided to drive to Byron Bay for the day as we had never been there before!! The weather was cold, wet and gloomy so decided to wait it out during lunch! What an amazing experience this was! walked past some Cafe's and decided on Mokha as it looked the warmest and most inviting! Well, the amazing experience began with the greeting we received.....she was so happy, bubbly and just made us feel as we were the only people dining there!! I could go on about it but.....THE FOOD......oh my god...THE FOOD WAS COOKED BY A GENIUS! This might sound over the top, but let me reassure you that you got what you paid for and more! No-one should go to Byron Bay and not experience this place! We have 3 teenage girls and they are still raving about this place!! And for those of you who enjoy a real cup of coffe? take it from an Italian......THIS IS THE PLACE TO DRINK IT FROM! at the end of the day we went back for another one!!! Oh if only this place was on Sydney!!!.

A couple of years ago we had a good breakfast at Mokha, right on the main street in Byron Bay and good enough to prompt us to try lunch there on our return trip. We had a warm chicken salad and grilled swordfish and salad, both very satisfying. Encouraged by our tastyy lunch we headed back for breakfast next day - even better than I remember from our previous visit. Try the breakfast tapas, a little bit of everything - delicious. Service was good, a great atmosphere for watching the world go by and pretty good value. The coffee was good too. What more could you want ?
