Stayed for one week over xmas great location friendly recepition staff we had a good site .it is a small park situated right on the beach close to everything we didnt have to drive any were even walked to the lighthouse with the kids..It can get a bit noisy from the pub recomend using earplugs.Big campers kitchen and BBQ areas it suited our needs but could do with a make over and a really good clean the back packers tend to take over the fridges.

Hi Donna, Thank you for your positive feedback. We do have the refurbishment of the camp kitchen on our agenda however this is difficult to do throughout the summer months. We look forward to seeing you again soon and trust you are able to continue to enjoy all facilities we have to offer.

We stayed only one night and found it to be very comfortable and clean.

We stayed in a lodge. It was quite small but comfortable after riding on a motorbike for hours!

Can't complain but I suppose it was a tad overpriced...

Stayed for 3 nights. There are no BBQs by the beach, they are just grill plates. We stayed in a lodge and the toilet and shower were combined so everything was wet and damp as it took a long time to dry out. The rooms are small and the facilities very basic. Wifi is temperamental and you are only given a set amount of wifi time for free. Wouldn't stay again, rooms are too pokey to be comfortable- and it was expensive for what was on offer. The positive is its central to Byron bay- but Byron isn't that big anyway so everything is in walking distance.

Great location but the "Lodge" rooms a very small and cramped. As a neighbour said, 'does not look like the photo'. It was like they were trying to get as many buildings in the area as possible. They also allow groups to stay who want to party all night. In our area there were 4 families who were lucky to get 4 hours sleep and when I explained to the staff our stay was less than satisfactory they got defensive and said they have a security guard to monitor the area. No sorry or I will do something about it.Someone was not doing their job and we paid for it with a terrible nights sleep.

Room Tip: You will be lucky to get a good nights sleep!

Right in the heart of Byron Bay, within walking distance to shops & sights, beachfront with very clean amenities......reception staff not the friendliest though. expensive but what you would expect beachfront at Byron Bay, I would stay here again!

Room Tip: Definitely go for beachfront

We were excited to be staying at byron bay and booked into the first sun for 3 nights while travelling up the east coast. I was extremely disappointed with the attitude of the staff who allocated us a site right next door to where the were constructing the town pool. We were not told of this at the time and arrived at the site to have water being discharged from the workers onto the site and items parked on it also. We went back to reception to tell them that there is no way we can put our van there, but the noise was terrible and wouldn't be suitable for a relaxing break in byron. The attitude of the staff member was poor. She said "well they finish at 4'" she was not helpful in trying to accommodate us and scowled when I suggested that this is not the best site to be allocating to people.

So we drove up the road and stayed 2 nights at Clarkes Beach caravan park. We had a fantastic stay there. They were extremely welcoming and it was a nicer park anyway.

We just got back from our 5 night stay , I must say its in the best location , too easy to keep nicking back and forwards to the main st , it's just at the caravan parks door step , also the beach is right there, very handy , so all positive , only negatives would be its needs a play area for the kids , and the microwaves in the camp kitchens were very rusty and out dated , the cabins were nice , another BIG positive is each cabin has its own BBQ which we thought was the best !!
Will stay again but would luv some more palms and a kiddies play area .
