“Absolutely Beautiful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2014

We loved staying in the Gallery Studio. The room itself was stunning, and comfortable. Not to mention the wonderful louvre windows in the bedroom that gave you the feeling of sleeping in a rainforest canopy.
Loved the place and hope to stay there again soon.

Such a beautiful way of putting the feeling of waking up in The Gallery Studio....rainforest canopy. Thank you. Love it and may change our wording to include your lovely description. I look forward to seeing you both again soon at The Garden Burees. - Simone Phillips

As loads of people stay this is a pretty wonderful place. We stayed in the dragonfly room which was stunning: the bathroom area is magical- open air shower and bath. very romantic! Do watch out for the lizards, they can give you a bit of a shock but are more interested in the toads and flies. The one down side is that this room backs on to the biggest campsite in Byron. It's not the most appealing thing to look out the window at and they could definitely do with planting some more trees or doing something to obscure the view as it does take the shine off the place. Noise wise, it was nowhere near as bad as we'd imagined we did get woken one night by some bad bongo playing but all in all this was a great place to stay.

Room Tip: As mentioned in the review, the dragonfly rest room does back on to a campsite which can take the sh...

Thank you for your review and am delighted that you found Dragonfly's Rest so romantic. We are putting up a bamboo screen across the campsite which will help with the view and the slight noise you hear is usually quite good bongos or guitar which makes for a relaxing free chill out. We always ask our guests to please contact us immediately if there are any noise issues. We thank you for your feedback and very much look forward to welcoming you back to The Garden Burees. - Simone Phillips

We loved staying here. It was lovely to receive an upgrade to the Garden Buree after someone wanted the studio for 5 days (and we'd booked for 2 of those). I'd definitely book to stay in the Garden Buree next time - it's just beautiful. Wooden, high ceiling, with a spiral staircase to the bedroom. It's really quiet & calm, surrounded by plants. Lovely little outdoor shower and a wonderful spa looking outside. It's rustic and beautiful. Just watch out for the very tame lizards - one pretty large one really wanted to get inside the place and came right up to the windows - not letting us out or have an outdoor shower! Very memorable part of the trip. Will definitely stay there again next time i'm in Byron.

Thanks Victoria for your review in The Garden Burees. Upgrades are always good and so happy to hear that you loved the spa and outdoor shower. The Lizards are a bit cheeky but easy to show them who is boss. There are only a couple of weeks when they are slightly territorial of their bit of rainforest! We really look forward to welcoming you back to the Burees - Simone Phillips

I have actually had past experience staying at the Garden Burees 5 years ago and found the place enchanting. It's a peaceful, tree top, rainforest getaway unparalleled to other Accommodation I have experienced. Of course the outdoor shower was the liberating experience I have only had one other time in Japan. Upon booking the bird song chalet this Dec 2013, I found that the service (from the manager) was excellent, as she called me early to enquire when I would check in, made sure the rooms were ready, whilst giving me a comprehensive guide to Byron Bay and activities for the night. That night we walked in next door to find comedy and music in the Arts factory lounge! Considering I only booked one night to entertain family, I thought the value was great during the holiday season and I would not think twice for another experience of the great ambience of the Garden Burees again for maybe a more romantic get away for two! I am a true fan....x

The Garden Buree is an awesome hidden treasure. The location is private and secluded but still close enough to walk into town. The accommodation itself is stylish, cosy and magical. A perfect place to relax, re-group and re-connect.

Balanise inspired units situated within easy walking distance of the town centre and main beach.
The units adjoin a brewery pub but we noticed no noise, and the beer is good. In keeping with the Balanese theme the shower is outside in a very private garden and it is enjoyable to shower whilst being observed by one of the resident water dragons. The bedroom was large and comfortable but the units may be impracticable for the aged or infirm as the bedroom was reached by a steep, narrow spiral staircase. If this does not bother you would recommend..

Thank you for your warm review and loving The Burees. It is true that if you do not like a spiral staircase...they are very cute though! we also have 3 beautiful rooms that do not have stairs.

I recently ran a retreat at the Garden Burees which was a perfect venue. Peaceful, private, beautiful decor and surrounded by nature. It's only a short 10 minute stroll to town and the beach and the staff were wonderful. Thank you!
