Ideal surroundings with old pub feel and large trees which were charming. Meals catered for gluten intolerant and vegetarian patrons. Really lovely atmosphere. Well worth the drive

We only had pizza which starts at 3pm. Great place to sit and watch the world. Good pizza, good price, music a bit loud, heard they had wifi but I couldn't get it. Beatiful looking old pub.

The brunswick hotel is a major land mark in the town and region. It's a beautiful building, has spreading seating area in it's massive courtyard, play areas for the kids and a great sense of being a huge hotel that will be a memorable night out. Unfortunately on the Saturday night we attended (two adults, two kids) the queue to order food was moving at snail pace - it took nearly 45 minutes to take the 10 orders in front of us - and when the food arrived (quite promptly) it was very average. My steak was cold with a cold jellied mushroom sauce, the fries were cool, and the salad soaked in an overly tart dressing. My wife's carbonara pasta was gluey and tasted mainly of salt. The kids meals (chips and nuggets) were hot, however they came with enormous sides of salad (good!) which were doused in the same dressing. Not popular with the littles. Overall it was a highly anticipated outing but the food was generally disappointing. We stayed for a week in wonderful Brunswick Heads but ate out at the many other excellent restaurants and cafes in town.

A short drive north from the sometime hords at Byron, the Brunswick Hotel is a pleasant and relaxing reminder of the good old days at the beach.
Friendly staff, good cold beer and an uncomplicated menu with interesting specials.
Never had a bad meal in many years of visitng. A great and popular spot with families.
Recomend a 6:00pm start otherwise the line to order can be long.
Sitting outside on a warm night, can it get better than this?
