We spent a winter long weekend in Deua Tin Huts and it proved to be a great location for 10 people, keen on birdwatching and bushwalking. The huts are very cosy and the kitchen in the largest hut had everything we needed to create communal dinners and room to seat us all. Our hosts, Clare and Andrew, were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. They joined us on several of our outings - there is plenty to do: walk to the Big Hole and Marble Arch, explore Wyanbene Caves and drive through the picturesque Jerrabattgulla Valley. We will return.

It's winter and we stayed for three days here as a base for walks in the adjacent National Park and drives in the area. Thoroughly enjoyable. The 'huts' are warm, attractive, well insulated, extremely clean and comfortable. Toilets are separate (though very close) which didn't bother us but might be an issue for some. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and took an interest in what we were doing, even taking us to one of their favourite walks. Plenty of wildlife can be found in the stock reserve and national park opposite.
