“Don't go for morning tea there is none!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2012

They advertise morning and afternoon teas. There is no food at those times! Just bad coffee and rude service. Don't go there.

“A little slow in the kitchen....but well worth the wait”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2012

We were a group of four and arrived at 1.15pm on Sunday for lunch. I saw the Xmas tree at the entrance and realised that the reason for the place being so busy was Xmas in July.

With no booking made in advance, we were given a table.

The place is huge, white clothed tables & napkins, most people quite well dressed but with a relaxed vibe.

We ordered a bottle of wine, complimentary bread & olive oil arrived at about 1:45. Our platter to share arrived at about 2:15pm, by then we were starving and the very apologetic waiter said that there were a few large groups of tables and that was the reason for the delay - no worries, we weren't in a hurry and soaked up the great ambience.

Conversation flowed, though wary that our tummies were grumbling, so we waved down the waiter at 3pm, he said he'll check with the kitchen. He came back apologising again that our meals were being plated up - barramundi, 2 x beef cheeks, lamb.

Although the long wait, the food was presented brilliantly, taste outstanding! We were asked if we wanted anything complimentary because of the delay, but I think we were all so hungry that we just wanted to enjoy the moment.

We declined dessert fearful of another long wait and requested some coffees instead. (And great coffee too!). The coffees arrived with little petit fours - round white chocolate fruit cake balls, so yummy!

Like the other review I read on Trip, I thought they would at least give the coffee for free due to delay with food, but.....in their defence they did ask if we wanted anything complimentary....so no complaint from me, but we thought it would be fair to reflect our ever-so-slight unhappiness with a smaller tip.

In summary, I would recommend this winery, I would go back but this time make a booking leaning towards a 12-12:30pm booking.
