“A fabulous setting for a weekend getaway”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2014

After reading some of the negative reviews about the hotel, we were very nervous about our stay. But we were pleasantly surprised with a wonderful hotel!
We stayed in a balcony room towards the front of the building which was very generous in size and extremely comfortable. While the bathroom was small, it didn't matter for our short stay. The views from our room were stunning and we were lucky enough to have views to the golf course on one side as well as a peaceful balcony on another side.
The communal lounges were very comfortable and cosy and a perfect place to spend a cold autumn night.
All other areas of the hotel were what we expected from a Peppers resort. There seemed to be a shortage of staff but everyone did their best.
Will definately be back!

Stayed for one night in an Elm Wing room which was spotlessly clean and more than adequate. The lounge areas are huge, warm and comfortable. The country style breakfast had everything imaginable and the Chef should be proud of the first class quality of the food produced in his kitchen. All of the staff were outstanding and their help made for a great time.

This small hotel is perfect for a short stay, especially if you are a golfer. Lovely green surrounds and great lounge areas with open fires. The food is excellent and the rooms, although compact (especially the bathroom) are very comfortable. Wifi is available and the staff are very helpful. Next time I will stay the weekend and visit the Endota spa as well.

This was my first experience of staying in a Peppers hotel and one word to sum up my stay disappointing. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and location excellent being less than five mins from town but the rooms are just too small. Thankfully our stay was for only one night, the bathroom is also very small and cramped and no room to swing a cat.

I also felt the room was not very clean and had a lot of dust and a black hair on the tile in the bathroom which I noticed as soon as I walked into the bathroom.

The hotel breakfast was okay but I begrudge paying $4.50 for a latte.

This is a really lovely looking property in a great location with beautiful public areas and great open spaces. The lounge areas and dining room are particularly lovely for a relax dinner by the fire or an la carte meal, and the grounds give you loads of room to roam.

The rooms themselves are also lovely, esp those in the old wing, and the balcony views are really peaceful.

However, it's pretty clear this is a 1-2 night place at best, or perhaps it was designed by someone who has never travelled for longer than that.

The rooms are pretty, modern and well furnished, but are really tiny with nowhere to relax or even to unpack. There are no drawers, only a couple of hangers and nowhere to manage your luggage so you a literally stepping into it to move around the room.

There are no water glasses, very few power points and the bed is on casters on a wooden floor. How stupid is that?

The bathroom, whilst modern and bright has no bath and no bench space, so again, your own stuff is hard to manage because some design genius has decided that clean lines make it look bigger. It might do that, but it also makes the place less convenient and less comfortable.

Add to that the huge effort to get your luggage up the stairs and round the many narrow dark corridors, makes me not want to come again, no matter how lovely the place is. On the whole it's not a very comfortable place to stay.

Hi Perthtravellor. Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. Appreciate your comments on our the presentation and ambiance of our Hotel which we take pride in maintaining. I am sorry to learn that the room size impacted on your stay. We do provide water glasses which are located in the minibar fridge, my apologies if this was not pointed out to you. The beds all have wheel cups to prevent movement on the wooden floors, I will highlight your comments to the Executive Housekeeper to check all rooms to ensure none are missing. With regards to the stairs we do offer to assit with the luggage for all guests. Thank you again for your feedback which is appreciated as it allows us to address any areas of concern to ensure our guest comfort. Kind regards Robyn & Team

Great staff, nice restaurant with good food and excellent range for breakfast. The lounge areas in front of the fire were just perfect for a good coffee and port after dinner. Rooms were good quality and even with the hotel booked out and a wedding in full swing we had a peaceful nights sleep (couldn't hear the wedding even though our room was almost directly over the conference room being used)

Stayed during the week for a 2 night conference. This property would be even more beautiful in winter. Log fires, great lounges, and little escapes throughout the hotel.
Rooms were beautiful, clean, and walked out onto a beautiful large balcony. I will be back with my wife, as this place just makes you relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Thank you
