Went here on Thursday with family - 4 of us. Meal was delicious and service 1st class. BYO option was added bonus. Would happily recommend to anyone looking for an Italian meal in Bowral

We were hopeful that the traditional Italian decor would have translated to the food, but sadly it did not. Service was energetic and for a busy evening quite quick food delivery but when we received our meals it was apparent that the food was prepared much earlier and was so over cooked. The chicken and beef dishes had identical, very salty sauce and left the meat floating with little flavor. The veges did not taste fresh and were also way overcooked with any flavor pretty well cooked out. We left a lot of food on our plates but were not asked why. When dining out we enjoy fresh food, fresh cooked and sadly this was not a good dinner experience at all. While we don't live in the area we probably would not go back.

We dined here on possibly one of the busiest evenings i've ever seen in a restaurant!
we were seated immediately in a cosy spot, served bread and olives by a lovely waitress who poured our wine... she then went through a lovely menu of specials- and was able to describe the food wonderfully! one of the owners came over to greet us and wish us a lovely evening.
the entrees were served under 10 minutes of ordering, and it was amazing! mains came after under 15 minutes of our entrees were cleared.. everything was exceptional!
the evening finished with the waitress bringing us some limoncello and petit fours, which was a nice touch!
we cannot wait to go back! highly recommend it!

Let me say first off that the restaurant was completely full. First impressions were ok. We didn't like the table we were offered & they found us another. Allowing for the number of diners the wait for our meal was not excessive. I thought the prices were very reasonable for The Southern Highlands. The meal itself was pleasant, hardly outstanding. However the noise was deafening.
Impossible to hold a conversation at our table. I could barely hear the waitress reciting the specials. In the end we left after the main course & finished off the evening at home. Maybe if we had picked a less busy night I could give a better rating.

We had looked forward to dining here after a recommendation from our B&B hosts. We booked a few days ahead and when we arrived (on time) we were seated next to the toilets. We couldn't help observe that there was at least two other tables for two free at the time. We had been seated a few minutes before a waitress plonked some bread / olives on the table with zero acknowlegement. We had to stop her her again a few minutes later to ask for water and menus as none had been forthcoming. Then a much more friendly waiter took our order. But I think we had already made up our minds we didn't like the place based on first impressions. The food was average, whilst paying what you would pay to go to a great Sydney Italian. Lovely sardines to start. Mains - my partner had the pork which he enjoyed. I had the spinach ravioli which was supposed to have crab in it but I tasted only white sauce. We didn't stay for dessert but the affogato looked nice. Friendly maitre de but owners should do more to ensure their waitstaff are trained to not only take orders but make people feel welcome.
