We had dinner here on a Friday night. The restaurant & bar area is fairly large & modern. There were quite a few families having a more casual dinner in the bar area, the restaurant section is separate, situated in front of the chef's kitchen so you can watch them preparing your meals.
We were able to chose between a 3 course menu, 5 course tasting menu or 7 course degustation with or without matching wines. We opted for the 5 course tasting menu with matching wines- they were very flexible with substituting 2 dishes for me that I couldn't eat. The food was faultless, creative & beautifully presented. The serving portions were decent- I was getting full by the 4th course. The wines were mainly local & complemented each dish wonderfully.
Service was excellent, atmosphere was lacking a bit because the restaurant wasn't very busy the night we dined. The restaurant area could do with dimmer lighting. I will definitely return on my next trip to the Southern Highlands.
