“Historic charm and great food”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

We (family of 4) visited The Stone Room on a very hot evening in the southern highlands. This is a great location, off the main road and the building has a wonderful old world charm. The Stone Room was nice and cool, the food wonderful and a slight mix up with our order was quickly resolved with no fuss. We wil be back to enjoy the food and atmosphere during the cooler months with the log fire blazing in the background!

“Terrific Tapas”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

We chose the Stone Room for lunch on a hot day in Berima and the outdoor seating under a grapevine covered trellis was cool and well away from the mainstreet noise and glare. The two of us shared four tapas, which was more than adequate and although a bit pricey, they were all cooked perfectly. Would have liked to try the pizza, judging by the quality of the tapas. Service was timely, efficient and friendly. Great for a light lunch on a hot day.

“Great tapas and cosy atmosphere”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

It was a cool and drizzly day outside, we were meeting friends in Berrima for a weekend. We started off here for lunch. The Tapas was delicious, the service helpful and friendly and the old stone room with burning open fire was just right. Highly recommend.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

Great location, looks good, but disappointed.

Firstly our reservation had been 'lost'. and yes it was a specal occasion, so that didn't auger well. However, after some re-arrangements they did manage to fit us in.

Then it as a very long wait for drinks.

The concept of tapas is great, but the menu urgently needs upgrading and refining, as well as incorporating more variety.

The service was extremely poor, poor enough o elicit an apology from one of the senior staff, but there was no recompense for the succession of errors that occurred.

By the way, despite this, we werent whingers and didn't complain, as we didn't want to let their deficiencies spoil our special night out'. However, we'll let our feet and wallets do the talking and won't be back there. There is a much better option in Berrima that really wants its customers to enjoy their fare and restaurant.
