In my youth a fish and chip shop sold just that; maybe with some pickled eggs and the like. Now there is a menu a mile wide, many items of which have no relationship to the sea at all. I feel that if Blue Wave offered less choice they may be able to deliver better service. The fish is fresh and good; the chips as tasteless as are all chips not cooked in the traditional medium of beef dripping. There is plenty of lemon and tartare sauce but Australian fish shops have no idea that fish and chips need malt vinegar not the white stuff they offer. Either way the delivery needs to be swift.
