View nice but not much water in the falls at the time we went. Nice picnic area with BBQs and tables. A variety of walks you can take of varying distances.

The viewing platform at the top of the falls is very close to the car park which makes it easy for everyone to enjoy this beautiful spot

On a whim I decided to keep driving from Crystal Castle to see the falls, as it had been rainign they where running. It is a bit of a drive along a narrow adn winding road, then once you get to the National Park you are on gravel for about 3 ks. Once there you can park, picnic, BBq, make sure oyu take rubbish bags with you, as we didnt see any garbage bins, walk down to the base of the falls or just stay at the top and look over. The day we went there it was really cold, so we just stayed at the top and looked around. The views just go on for ever, on a clear day it is amazing scenery. Just make sure if you go, it has been raining previously, so you get to see the falls in all there glory like we did.

The perfect place for family friendly bush walks, the full on experience. The walk down to the falls is gorgeous but is quite a hike back up. Also, if you are into camping, there is a beautiful campsite called Rummery Park, just 5 minutes down the road from the falls. It can get quite busy at times but there are often just one or two people camping. Absolutely spectacular place.

Minyon falls is an unexpected beauty in the middle of the forest ~45 min drive from Byron Bay. The falls are stunning even if you decide to only see them from the platform. The view from there is great. The only downside is the road to reach them...quite bumpy, with holes in the middle and flooded..but once you are there it's amazing! If you are fit and it's dry, go for the walk! BBQ facilities are also available!
