We have stayed & eaten in this hotel on many occasions over the years both for business and quiet weekends away - where we rarely left the hotel.
The main reasons we frequent the Ramada Hotel & Suites in Ballina is the location (centre of town and riverfront), the friendly & efficient staff and the high quality of rooms.
Spacious rooms with river views. Peter Morrissey toiletries & we love the large duck boards in the bathrooms. We like the open air corridors and pool with a good selection of lounges - especially the pods - although they are the only shade on a hot & sunny summer day like in November 2013.
The restaurant is riverfront & is open to the public with great river views and a good selection of food at standard prices for it's quality & locale - if a little expensive for some other options in Ballina.
Byron Bay is only about a half hour drive away, and there are many eating options and things to see in the locality.
On a separate note if you like antique furniture Summerland Antiques Ballina is a short drive away with an large selection of mainly English & Australian furniture, clocks, crockery and typical antique shop finds.
