“A Hidden Gem!”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

We booked for two nights and ended up spending four at Rainbow Pines with our 24' Caravan, which was a truly spectacular location based right on the shores of Lake Eucumbene. We were very happy with our powered site. Our hosts Rick and Kerry were extremely helpful and lovely. They even organised for the local Hotel's Jolly Trolly to transport us 7Kms to and from Adaminaby for dinner (NB. Try the lamb shanks). We highly recommend staying at Rainbow Pines and hopefully will be back one day, once we complete our Big Lap.

We spent a week at Rainbow Pines. A beautiful location on Lake Eucumbene. Our powered site overlooked the Lake. The park was very quiet with good facilities and friendly staff. Tried a little fishing but had no luck. Would love to go back and explore more of the lake and maybe bag a trout or two!!

Andy and Helen,

It was a pleasure to have you two staying, along with Peter and Jo. It certainly makes our job easier when we have nice people to interact with.

Look forward to seeing you on your next trip

My husband and I just got back from spending 5 nights at Rainbow Pines. We have our own R.V, so we only required an en suite site. The park is a hidden gem, it was a short walk to the lake, there was a boat ramp within close proximity. It was great for us as we were about 1-1/2 hour drive to Lake Jindabyne, spent the day there, and next day to Charlotte Pass and Thredbo.
The park is well kept, we were delighted with our site.

Marlene,
Thank you for taking the time to review our park. It is a very important tool to use when choosing where to stay and the more reviews you have (good or bad) can influence people as to where they stay. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to your return.

Great place to stay for people who enjoy fishing. Plenty of fish and great if you have a boat. Kids will love having a swim and having a hike through the bush will keep the kids entertained. Enjoy the wild life around you and being in nature.

Thankyou for your review,

It really does help when people write a review (good or bad) so prospective clients can decide wether to give a place a go or not. I use it all the time when I travel with my wife(1 week a year).
I don't recognise Kangas but, I think you were the family on site 7 with 3 kids. All well behaved. It is great to see FAMALIES enjoying the area and spending time together instead of the kids spending time in a games room instead of with Mum and Dad.

We have just come back from spending 5 nights at Rainbow Pines. We have stayed there several times and always find it to be a very relaxing and friendly place to stay. Rick & Kerry are always very welcoming and can't do enough for us. We stayed in the deluxe cabin, which has a great view of the lake and surrounds from the verandah. The park is very conveniently located right on the edge of the lake - so that you can see exactly what the conditions are like. Would highly recommend this park as a great place to get away from it all.

We have stayed in many different caravan parks recently and found this one to be a real gem. Old Adaminaby has lots of charm, beauty and interesting history, we even stumbled upon the Adaminaby races! It is accessible to Koscuisko National park as well as horse riding in the mountains. The park is clean and well maintained, the staff very friendly and helpful and to top it off this is one of the cheapest parks we have stayed in, especially as power is metered so you only pay for what you use, Bargain!

we spent 2 nights in the park and couldn't't have had a nicer stay.It was very peaceful and quiet, and the wildlife on the lawns eg rabbits and kangaroos gave it a very serene place to be.The owners were very helpful and the fact that you paid for your power separately to the park fees made it very economical.
