“Very dissapointing and slow service”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

Recently had breakfast here on a Saturday morning. We were the only 3 people in the restaurant and it took 40 minutes to get 3 orders of eggs/saussage/homefries and toast. One other person came in for a hot chocolat. Total bill $30.00. The coffee was typical dinner, the breakfast was a small portion for the price, homefries are deep fried potato chunks no onions or spice. I will not be returning to this restaurant. The seating is very crowded. Very dissapointing incomparision other breakfast establishments in the Village and area.

“Don't miss this little gem in Merrickville”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

This was our second visit to the Elements Bistro. We had lunch on their patio in August when we were in Merrickville for Canal Fest and had enjoyed an excellent meal then. This time, on a cool March Saturday morning we lunched inside. It's a small cozy place, a bistro and a bakery. They serve breakfast all day on the weekends (I don't know if that applies during the week as well). The menu is on a blackboard and the day we were there it included, in addition to the breakfast choices, two different quiches, a braised beef poutine, soup of the day, some sandwiches, including their BELTCH sandwich (bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato and cheese). My husband opted for the poutine and I had one of the quiches. Both were excellent. My deep dish quiche had smoked cheddar cheese and spinach and was accompanied by a small salad.
The owner, Karen, served us and she was so friendly and welcoming which really added to our enjoyment of a lovely lunch. Before leaving, we purchased some homemade pastries (cinnamon buns and scones) for our breakfast the next morning.
Elements Bistro is a real gem in Merrickville.
